The alternator is not charging
usually its the rectifier, which is cheap in comparison to a new alternator. and is located either inside or outside the back of the alternator-but u may be unlucky and need a rewind if its this its usually better to get a new/recon unit
The air conditioning stopped working
hi, check the 75amp fuse in the fuse box to see if it has blown. If so, get a new one or go to a breakers yard.
Then we have to look at why the ac fuse blew. Check earth leads and clean the ends up with a wire brush. Check the wiring going from the compressor.
With the new fuse in, check the compressor spins ok. It might have seized, look down the sight gaps with the AC on. If you can see movement and hear that it is working then great.
Check the pipework, I recently had my soft AC pipe blow out. It made a loud hissing noise, like a tire burst. Check and replace pipes. The Freon/R134 gas will have to be replaced too.
I hope this helps your case. Please vote for me too. Thanks very much.
The car has starting problems.sometimes it starts
mcdevito75 here, A well meaning and even knowing friend, relative Etc. could check your battery and starter and give them a clean bill of health, the fact is the starter would have to come out of the car to be tested to be really sure. However, I'm thinking toward an old battery 2 years old (replace), dirty Battery connections, a bad connection at the starter. If all this checks out OK, have your local repair shop take a look.

1993 Nissan Maxima SE Car Alarm freaks out, and other electrical
Im no professional but i did recently buy a 93 maxima and i have the same security alarm problem and my powered locks dont work at all. im taking off the door panel today to take a look and see if the alarm sensor is loose or damaged, if it is, ill probably just disconnect it. one thing i have noticed though is that when i hit the lock or unlock button, i hear a faint click from the dashboard area which im assuming is the solenoid on a transistor which would mean that the buttons work but the transistor isnt delivering power. Semi-Solution for Locks: Listen for very quiet click when you lock/unlock doors, if you hear it, uve got major work to do, if you dont, then take apart the door and check the switch connections. Semi-Solution for Alarm: take off the door panel and disconnect the sensor.

Need to replace the gas tank on my 93 Maxima. Has
No, not really if you are a do it yourself person. Head to a salvage yard and grab an old-school Maxima tank. Most yards have the tanks sitting in the rear seat of the cars there. Tanks are either strapped up or bolted up, and are usually easy to replace, so long as there are not extra components or pumps included with them. $50-60 to do it yourself and $120 + for professional shops.
Turns over but won,t start
check your battery levels. You might have a bad cell. If that is with in levels....check all fluids, spark plugs, fluid sensors, check everything before thinking about the carburetor.
