Can't get A/C belt around pulleys on my 01 Chevy Tracker 2.5 V6

The belt typically won't squeal when too tight, it will just put more wear and tear on the components. I would recommend removing the belt, and cleaning the pulley with brake parts cleaner and a tooth brush. There is probably some sort of residue on the pulley, which is allowing the belt to slip when the a/c clutch engages. If this doesn't help, make sure all of your pulleys are aligned. Use a long straight edge to check their alignment with each other. If they aren't close to perfectly straight, it will cause the belt to ride funny and squeal when the a/c clutch engages.

Why rear windows on 2001 chevy tracker won't work ?

Would seem your into the inner doors & have a partial grasp on things Now you fix all door windows one shot #1 Test all switches, ohm meter unplugged or volt meter with power #2 Test all motors with battery voltage direct -- DC motor will run either direction-- can't hook up wrong #3 Window Regulators -you know about them (Unless they are broken-you said they are tight) #4 Do you have good ground side wiring & battery voltage at all switches & motors #5 Last resort--unhook the cables & work on freeing up the glass & window guides etc then you will have found out if the regulators are the issue
