Code 12 should flash 3 times, then flash whatever codes are in the system, when done showing those codes, it flashs code 12 again, to let you know the test is done.

There are three bolts that have come loose and will need to be tightened.
Some special tools will be needed to disassemble in order to access these bolts.
I would recommend a professional to do this job for you as there are many parts and pieces to contend with in this job along with the supplemental restraint system (airbag).
My 1990 cutlass supreme stalls when i accelerate.
I would take a look at the EGR valve. It will cause hesitations and stalls. It is also a lot cheaper to change than the ECM. Always try the small stuff first. : ) You can go by Autozone or Advance Auto and ask them to put their computer on to your car...just to see if anything shows up. They will do it for free!
My car turns over starts then cuts off
The fuel pump operates off two items upon starting the car. When you first turn the key to the ON position you can hear the fuel pump faintly running inside the fuel tank. If you can not hear it it seems it is working for you stated the engine starts then cuts off. That tells me the engines oil pressure switch is working the fuel pump. On the oil pressure switch this switch has a third wire which is directed to the fuel pump. When the engine reaches full oil pressure the computer shuts off the signal from the oil pressure switch and then the computer turns on the fuel pump relay which stays on until you shut the engine off. I do beleive the fuel pump relay is what you need for it is not working no longer. This will have many relays with the same part number on it. You can easily swap any relay that looks the same with the same numbers on it and try it once to see if the engine stays running.
Very little inside heat when engine is warm
I'm going through the same problem on my '89 Regal, just no time to fix it. I would check if the heater core is clogged. Drain some of your coolant out your radiator and disconnect both heater hoses from the engine. take a garden hose with an adjustable valve on it and stick it in one hose, then the other, back and forth, until the water runs out strong and clear. Hook your hoses back up and top off your coolant. Works every time for me! Hope this helps ya!

it sounds like the ignition module is getting hot and shutting down. unbolt the ignition coils and unplug coils and pay attention to how they unplug from the module unplug and unbolt the module the replace in reverse order

Just changeing the filter and gasket, you shouldnt need much more than 4 liters (1 gal) just keep checking and dont over fill it.
as for the rough running after warm up. could be mass air flow sensor, to test, when car warm, tap the sensor wiht the handle of a screw driver when its running.. if it stumbles or stalls when you tap it. then it needs to be replaced. it could also be coolant temperature sensor, or leaking EGR valve.

Try turning the ignition switch to the "RUN" position with the engine off.
Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal three times in five
seconds. The light will flash twice and go out. I know many GM vehicles use that method

you most likely have a injector breaking down which is causing the quad driver in the computer which control the injector pulse to shut down .When a injector resistance is to low this will happen the correct resistance in ohms is 12.4 per each injector .This was a very common problem with 88 to 97 gm cars.have this zcheck at a reliable shop :)
