My car will only run for 10 min and then turn off
Hello Vicky.
When I see this happen to those models it is usually a crankshaft position sensor that is getting hot and going open circuit.
When it cools it makes contact again and starts up.
While the issue may be something else like an ignition module the most common by far is the crank sensor.
An experienced technician with proper equipment should be able to determine the problem easily if he can get the car to quit.
I hope this helps your find your problem.
Thank you for using FixYa.

The radiator fans aren't working on my 1995
FIRST SCAN CAR TO SEE IF COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR IS WORKING SEE IF YOU GETTING ECTS CODES. IF NOT CHECK THE COOLING FAN FUSE AND RELAY.IF BOTH GOOD HOTWIRE THE COOLING FAN USING JUMPER WIRES TO CAR BATTERY.IF FAN DONT WORK REPLACE THE COOLING FAN MOTOR ITS FAULTY.
No heat or air blowing out my blower
I would check the fuses to be sure no issue there, then... I would check the blower resistors next. This should be a module very near or mounted to the blower motor.
Need to replace o2 sensor; where is it?
Hello walt_herd,
Thank you for choosing fixya.com.
Most vehicles have two O2 sensors; 1. behind the engine the exhaust manifold pipe before the catalytic converter; 2. just past the catalytic converter. The first one may be accessible from above the engine, if not, securely raise the vehicle and get it from underneath. The second should be accessible (if equipped) from underneath. The electrical connection my be inserted into the floorboard of the car (with a small screwdriver, pry the rubber piece off,and pull the connector out. Disconnect, take out sensor; reverse process for new installation. The first sensor connection may be clipped to a bracket or the block on the back side of the engine. Disconnect the connection, and take out the sensor. Reverse process for new intallation.
While it's possible to remove these with an opened end wrench, it's easier if you purchase an O2 sensor socket. It has a cut down the slide so you can get the socket onto the sensor, that the wiring will slide into. Each make and model socket size may differ.
I hope this information is useful and helps you get your O2 sensor(s) replaced successfully.
Thank you again for choosing fixya.com and please, let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

1998 olds 88 heater off switch is on a vacuum line
Have you checked the vacuum line with a gauge? If so, how many pascal units does the vacuum line read? Vacuum gauges are around $5. Furthermore, I believe the design is sealed vacuum only system. The solenoid could be bad, but to my knowledge it is not an electrical component. A split in one of the vacuum lines could be cause of your problem. You would have to trace the all the vacuum lines back to the source to find the problem. You would need that gauge to detect a leak in the system. Could also replace all the vacuum lines on principle since the vehicle is going on two decades.
