PROBLEM WITH KEYS AND IMMOBILIZIER HAS TO FIX AT THE MERCEDES DEALERSHIP.THEY HAVE TO USE DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT TO FIX.TRY ANOTHER KEY TO SEE IF CAR CRANKS.BECAUSE IF ONE KEY IS WORN TOO BAD IT WONT CRANK.

Unless there are warning lights indicating some sort of mechanical malfunction I would not worry about this. If this were a gasoline engine it would be disconcerting. Diesels on the other hand are more prone to producing soot, and in recent years have come under attack for this reason. The reason this happens is that when you are accelerating hard you are forcing more fuel to be burned in each firing cycle. Soot is simply the product of inefficient combustion.

That problem is usually in the door latch mechanism. Try lubing it real good thru the latch in the door. Open and shut the door 15 or 20 times and see if that will not do it.

Check the backing plates -- one of them could be bent slightly causing the rotor to scrap it.

REALLY NEEDS to be fixed because if the discs break, it will cause MAJOR damage

if it is only in the morning, seems it is leaking from top seal that can be repaired without changing strut.
you can put soapy water on top of the strut ( where pressure line is connected) to check leakage.

You may try an upholstery shop, one that deals in auto restoration, convertible tops , etc. Auto parts stores are a good resource for info. Those guys behind the counter know a lot, and may be able to lead you in the right direction. You may be able to save a few hundred bucks, maybe more.

There are 3 fuse boxes called s.a.m,s one on each side of the engine compartment and one under the rear seat cushion under the plastic cover on the carpet. The vehicle has a hidden fuse schematic either under the plastic cover on the l.f. of the dash accessible by opening driver's door or in the trunk in the took kit or possibly under one of the side panels in the trunk. They hide them in various places in different models. I hope I have been helpful
