If you've lost the sticker under the hood and there is no diagram in the owner's manual, you can find it in a Haynes or Chilton's manual for your vehicle. It may even be printed on the wrapper for your new belt. Most auto parts stores also have a copy of the diagram.

Only thing you can try is a CD lens cleaner. If that doesn't fix the problem the your best option is to replace it with an aftermarket player. You can also use an FM transmitter and hook that up to a portable cd player or mp3 player/ipod.

If you haven't checked it yet, the throttle position sensor (TPS) could cause this. If a trip to a chain auto parts store for a free scan of your computer doesn't yield error codes, I would stop by Radio Shack, buy a can of contact cleaner and spend some time pulling every plugged connection under the hood and dashboard and spray both mating parts, plug and unplug them several times and hope I found the right one(s). 'Intermittents' are the bane of any good tech. Good luck-

the blower motor is about 120-180 it takes .7 hours to replace. the resistor is about 40.00 and takes .4 hour to replace. depending on is your doing it yourself its cheaper. not sure what your local shop charges for labor. hope this helps

First make sure the battery if fully charged, if the battery is could then the most common problem would be a bad starter, have someone hold key in the start postion while you tap on starter and see if it starts if it does then starter is bad, another way to test is again hold key in start postion and test for power with a test light the small wire at starter if theres power at the small wire then starter is bad, there are two wires going to starter, one small and a batery cable size one, the bigger wire should always have power this cable wire comes from starter then the small wire only has power when the key is in the crank position. hope this helps.

The fan is controlled by the ecu, the temperature switch, and the ac relay. If the fan comes on when you turn on the ac, the problem is either in the temperature sensor, usually located on the front of engine near the thermostat housing. You can unplug the switch and use a little jumper wire to bypass the switch. If the fan starts, replace the temperature sensing unit. If not, the ECU is either failing to ground the fan ie. the wire from the fan to the ECU is defective, or the ECU itself is defective. All of this said, you are probably better off to take it to a shop and have them read the codes off of the ECU, which should tell you what the problem is. Most auto parts places like Autozone or Checker will check these codes for you for free.

Many things can cause the engine light to come ON. Best way to find out is to take the vehicle to an auto-parts store. Most auto-parts stores will scan the computer for a trouble code for free. They should tell you what the trouble code means that's causing the engine light to come ON.

I had a similar problem with mine.

If it is a rumbling/rattling/knocking noise when you accelerate with the A/C on, it could be a collapsed bushing on the belt tensioner piston. If it is, replace the belt tensioner and it should stop.

I had the same exact symptom (02 Prizm LSI)..Order yourself a Blower Motor Resistor (I clicked on it---scroll up on this same screen that you are reading--- AC Delco part, $25.79). When the part arrives, look at it, and then look behind and to the left of your glove box door, YOU WILL SEE IT RIGHT AWAY. 2 screws, takes about 10 minutes to change. Its been nice to get all 4 speeds back! Good luck.

blower motor resistor is the most probable cause of this i would go to the dealer after market part for this will leave you upset and you will just wind up at the dealer anyway
