its very easy first check for the fuel pump relay u should be having a spare one its not expensive you will find a chart in relay box to locate the fuel relay car still dead after replacing the relayopen the bonnet try to locate the fuel line that hose feed your throttle body with fuel take the hose out of its place then your eye is on hose tip while a friend or any one turn your cars key just for one if the line squirted so the pump is working replace fuel filter at all

Hi Alicia with the Grand Am...:) Can you start your Grand Am by jump starting from another car and battery? First check cable connections on the battery...if dirty or corroded (even broken) the connection will not support the cranking power and will not turn over the motor...also inspect the battery to see if the battery casing is swollen...this is a sign the battery cells are wearing, and a battery replacement is necessary...be sure to have your battery checked ( a free service at most auto parts stores) before you could be stranded...Hope this helps.

The battery is located under the hood in the engine compartment. It sets on a battery tray on the drivers side front of the engine compartment. You will see 2 large electrical cables connected to it.

Yes if they shorted out something while working on it, it can blow fuses since the fans and horn both went out I would start with checking all the fuses related to these you also may have relays which can go out like fuses some will be under the dash and you might have more under the hood. start there if you find blown fuses and replace and they blow again then you have a loose wire or short.
