2003 oldsmobile sillouette leaks in wheel wells after it rains both sides
These water leaks can be really tough to find. In some cases the windshield seal can be leaking and the water runs down the firewall into the interior.I have a similar issue on my Aurora from time to time. I believe the issue is the weather strip around the door seals. It looks to me like the water follows the weather seal and then is wicked into the car where the carpeting contacts the weather seal. I have thought about putting small holes in the weather seal on the bottom edge (facing the exterior of the vehicle) so that the water has a path to follow out of the car. Not sure if this will work.
2001 Silhouette didn't pass inspection
Do you mean the O2 sensor? This is located on the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter. If you get the vehicle safely off the ground a few feet then you should be able to replace it with a 7/8 combination wrench. Make sure there anti-seize on the threads of the new sensor, which is available at any auto parts shop.
Trying to find a free
I think you can get it free from the GM owners site that is run by General Motors. I know I got the free downloadable manual for my '04 GMC. You can give it a try. When you get to the website, you can log in with a Yahoo email address. If you don't have one, just go to Yahoo and create one. Then just follow the instructions on "registering your car with the site". It isn't that invasive, but does give you free manuals. Also, you have to agree to let your Yahoo addy accept their junk emails. Here is the website:

The heater hose from the
you half to buy a new hose as the presure in that line a clamp will not hold. will hold for few mins but then will blow right off as the presure builds in the engine and the temps of the fluid gets hotter
Wont shift into overdrive
Hi, overdrive is controlled differently from other gears. Low vacuum or a bad Throttle position sensor can keep it out of overdrive. People will be happy to put a rebuilt transmission in for you, but that probably wouldn't solve the problem.
You should check the Low vacuum or a bad Throttle position sensor and replace the faulty one..
My brake lights stopped working
Brake light "circuit blocks" in tail light assembly can be bought reasoably from RockAutoParts.com. Yours have likely filled with water and rusted. you will see the rust stainson the bottom of the blocks. They are the same (lousy) design as the original. Conductors within the blocks are exposed strips of metal and short out on each other. Pry open your old ones to have a look. I have had to openthem up and wrap them with electrical tape to prevent shorting and constant fuse blowing. The design has a history of failures.
Changed fuel pump and filter
have seen people wire pumps wrong. if you turn key one do you here pump running for few seconds? pinched fuel line?
