Assuming the key you are using, used to work...sometimes a lock cylinder will build up dirt or corrosion, or sometimes just dry out...use a spray called PB Blaster available at most parts stores (even Walmart:)...using the fine red stem nozzle, spray each key slot thoroughly...KEEP a rag near by to wipe off the overflow from your paint...:) you might need to do this a few times, but if the lock cylinder is not broken...this could be your cheap fix...Hope this helps

Power steering belt needs to
The belt is changed by loosening the power steering pump at the adjustment bolt and also the pivot bolt:
The following instructions tell you how to remove the whole power steering pump, but you just have to adjust the tension with it.
A long pry bar might help to tighten the tension until there is like 1/2" to 3/4" deflection in the middle of the belt between two pulleys, and when running there doesn't appear to be a lot of play in the appearance of the belt while the pulleys are rotating, and that when the steering wheel is turned, you don't hear any squealing indicating a slipping of the drive belt.
Good luck on this repair:
Power Steering Pump
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
- Remove the hoses at the pump and tape the openings shut to prevent leakage.
- Remove the pump drive belt.
- Remove the retaining bolts, any braces and the pump.
- If a new pump is being installed, and the pulley is being transferred, a puller is necessary to remove the pulley.
To install:
- Torque hose fittings to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm). Fill the reservoir with approved power steering fluid and turn the pump backward (counterclockwise as viewed from in front) until bubbles no longer appear in the reservoir.
- Any time the pump is removed, air must be bled from the system upon reinstallation. Bleed the system as described in the next procedure.

No fuel to carburetor,,whats likely,,fuel
Both are possible. The easy check it to remove the Fuel Filter and replace it with a piece of Straight hose for TESTING. If that resolves the problem you know it was the fuel Filter. If it doesn't then you know it is the fuel pump and you can get a replacement and complete the repair.
Smokes
Bad piston rings or possibly coolant leaking into motor. If oil looks like a chocolate shake then you have coolant leak in the motor but usually bad rings. That's a take the head of the motor type job.
Cost of fixing broken brake
Checkout your local parts house for new line or who they know will fabricate a new one. Several hose specialty outlets can fabricate new hoses or lines to spec's or sample.
85 88 royale. Last summer replaced 1 of the valve
She should still have some life left in her. The water pump isn't too hard to replace, really no special tools needed. When motors get around that mileage, they will use some oil and have some leaks. As the engine wears, blow by developes and will cause gaskets to leak. I would also check the PCV valve.
