Class car man.Try the crank position sensor it controlls the ignition and fuel delivery by sending information to the ecu in relation to the position of the crank-cam.

If you purchase a repair manual it will contain the wiring diagram. Your local auto parts store sells these books. They may have to order the one you need. Also any book store can order what you need.
Two publishers are Chiltons and Hayes.

For the 1987 Buick Regal 3.8L SFI OHV Turbo 6cyl, I just find someting information about the belt: Belt Routing Diagram 6P009 (Diagram number) - Fan, alt, A/C & P/S

if you buy your belt at Autozone the belt routing is on the box

Look for a running light relay to be shorting out,it is under the hood,most likely near ,or on the fire wall under the cover.If not ,look behind the head lights.

prpobbly need front shocks.

The fuel filter may be under the car , it is located near the passenger seating area under the vehicle or it may be on the driver side near the seating area, if you still can not locate the filter, you can locate the fuel by tracing the fuel lines foeard and you should be able to locate the fuel filter.

check your struts and your upper and lower ball joints

Must be a bare wire somewhere that's shorting out. And it will be in the worst place possible. Right on top of your gas tank.

its toward the back on the driver side by the rear end on the under carriage

there is a big black hose from the rad to the motor the thermostat is usually under the motor end of that hose

its the relay its one of the 2 on the drivers side fender right on top ive replaced 2 of them.

did you find the tiny little latch that locks the harness in place? it's really tiny and you'll need a little poking device to get to it

Hi check the batery conection to be well tigth and clean, if they are ok you have to check the starter motor an the starter solenoid, very often its only brushes. allso if you rotate the crank shaft some times fix the problem. and dont forget to check the batery charge.

Check that the battery terminals are clean and that the battery connectors are a tight fit and cannot slide around the battery post or terminal.

The ignition switch may be faulty or the connector to it may have become detached or the main vehicle fuse might have blown. Does the radio work, interior light or any of the ancillary electrical equipment?

Have you checked for voltage at the demand side (as opposed to the supply side of various fuses)?

Check the main battery cables (the positive and the negative) and that the earth cables are a secure fit and have a good electrical connection.

Is the battery connected the right way round? Positive to positive and Negative to negative?

Thick wires at IGN SW .... Red(s) - supply power from the battery to the IGN switch ... Pink - ignition supply ... Orange - Accessory power ... Purple most RWD sometimes (Yellow most FWD) - Starter .. Did I miss any? It's been a while The thin wires on the IGN swich are for key sense and VATS (if applicable)
