I have 96 firebird 3.8 i took off valve covers and started engine no oil getting to the top reason to believe oil pump bad but before this happen low oil light was on and engine started knocking then

You should go for engine manual first after that it would be easy for you to solve your problem. I had visited this site past 2 months before for my vehicle and find it quite helpful may be you will also get something useful herehttps://www.reliable-store.com/search?type=product&q=+Pontiac+

Headlight will not open on my 2001 Pontiac firebird will not open what are some options?

Check the headlight relay, it may be defective or it has no power due to a shorted fuse. Refer to the owners manual for location, it will be under the hood most likely..

Car makes very loud screeching noise.

It could be that the air conditioning compressor clutch is not working properly. The clutch should allow the pully to freewheel when the air conditioner is not used.
You can have your battery tested at.an auto parts store, and you can test the alternator by removing a battery cable while the engine is running. The alternator is what powers all the electrical systems while the engine is running. If the engine stops running when the cable is removed, this means that the engine was running from the battery and not the alternator.
Your alternator or your regulator is bad.
Regulators are an internal part of alternators, unless its a pre 70's.car where they were a separate external unit.
Hope this is helpful.

Power and battery are fine. I turn the key and not even a sound from the starter. If I push it and pop start it it runs for 2 or three seconds then stalls. OBDC codes are 1440 and 0128.

Very odd, but I was unable to find either of your codes. Check them again. Then go look up OBDII codes for your car.

My car won't turn over, everything works, but doesn't make a noise when I try to start it

Go under the car and see if you have 12 volts at the purple wire to the starter solenoid when the key is held to crank position, the wire may be broken or the starter solenoid is defective.

How to disable security system on 2001 firebird

It is tied into the pass-key system that disables your car as part of vehicle security. You would have to by pass the pass key system which would make it vulnerable to theft as any duplicate key or broken ignition could start the car. In my estimation if it ain;t broke don't fix it or you might wind up with an inoperable car. There is more than mechanics involved ...codes and software programmed into the bcm will disable the starter, pump and injectors.

2001 pontiac firebird 10" speaker is not working

You have to be more specific. It could be any number of problems. The amp could be bad, the cd player could not be sending a signal, the signal wires could be bad, or even the fuses to the amp are blown. Send me a message with all the symptoms, I may be able to help if I know what is going on.

Lack of power in 5th and 6th gear at cruising speed, have to downshift and go through gears to obtain higher speed

4th and 5th gears are for use over 45 and 55mph respectively as they are both Overdrive Gears. If you are above these speeds in these gears when the issue occurs I would suspect Tune-up issues, fuel/air delivery problems, or a drastic change in tire/ wheel size on the vehicle. Last tune up was? Air Filter? Fuel filter? Checked fuel pressure and volume?
