Why wont my dash lights come on when attempting to
Hello,
maybe the fuse for your dashboard is disconnected or blown. Check the fuse box under your steering or inside the bonnet. Remove the fuses one at a time and observe which one is for your dashboard.
Good luck.
I have a 1997 Bravada
Hi Paul,
I think the problem with your vehicle is the coolant
temperature sensor.
If you vehicle has an electric cooling fan there will be three sensors and if not there will be two.
The sensors will be located close to the thermostat housing and you're looking for the sensor with
two cables not the sensor with a single cable.
Before removing it leave the engine to become cold....prefrably overnight....
Get a replacement and have it on hand, together with the required coolant to refill afterward.
- Disconnect the cable socket and using a spanner of the correct size remove the sensor and replace with the new one....
- Check the coolant level and top up the required amount. Replace the radiator cap.
- As the engine will be cold you'll be able to notice immediately the improvement in starting.

Service engine soon light is
Take your car to an automotive service dealer; although they usually charge an hour of labor just to hook up the code reader to your car. However, some parts stores like Advance Auto Parts has a scanner and they can read what codes are showing for free. They can tell you what codes, if any, are faulty.
My bravada is not firing
Need to know what type of engine you have. Is it 4 cylinder? 6 Cylinder? Is it Throttle Body Carb, or modified fuel injection or full fuel injection?
The distributor is located toward the back of the engine. There are two types of distributors, one with the wires sticking up and one with the wires sticking at the side.
Would suggest that you go to your local autoparts store and get a Haynes Manual. It will have all the information that you need.
Some put salt in my gas tank will this harm my
OH YES.......BUT HOPEFULLY, YOUR FILTER WILL COLLECT THE GRAINS AS THEY DONT DISSOLVE IN GAS.you will need to STOP USING THE CAR UNTIL YOU drop the tank to wash it out, also the fuel lines.
I have a 97 bravada that the heat is not working.
A very common problem with these is the heater core becoming plugged. What I have done to cure this is disconnect the heater hoses and use a garden hose to flush water through the core itself in both direction with low pressure also have used compressed air to blow air through again at low pressure. Be sure afterwards to allow all the air to bleed out from the cooling system.
ALL MY LIGHTS WORK BUT
Hi, a common issue on these, is a faulty 4way switch. Try stepping on the brake, and play around with the 4ways, push it down slightly, wiggle side to side, this may be an issue. Good luck
How do i reset the
as long as the problem(s) thast caused to code in the first place have been fixed all you have to do is diconnect the battery for at least 30 sec NOTE: make sure the ignition is in the off/lock position and the key is out if not you may bamage the ECM
My back brake lights rare not working but the top
If its not a fuse, it should be the wiring harness, basically the connector that provides juice to the rear lights. see if you can find it inside the rear panels maybe ids corroded or just unplugged.
Having trouble bleeding brakes on
Are the rotors worn? Worn rotors and new pads will sometimes cause this. The pad sits across the ridges and no matter how much you bleed the system the pedal just wont stiffen up. (See diagram. A - New pads, B - Rotor, C - Ridge)
If you did not install new pads you may also want to check the master cylinder seals. First bleed the system at the pipes that connect to the master. If the rotors are ok, you've bled the master cylinder and the problem persists then replace the seals or the complete master cylinder.
What would it cost to
it really depends on where the leak is at, it could be anywhere from a few dollars for a radiator hose, to hundreds of dollars for a new radiator. You need to isolate the leak, and re-asess
