Although many Ford vehicles have a fuel pump inertia swtich that can be reset if tripped, there isn't a fuel reset button on this vehicle. Power for the fuel pump is supplied by a 20 amp fuse [#6 in the relay center I believe] and the power is routed through the fuel pump relay which is controlled by the Engine Control Module and then sent out to the pump. I rarely see a blown fuse or bad relay but do see a lot of pumps that wear out an quit working.

Hi, I recommend a compression test. Misfires at adjacent cylinders can indicate a problem with the head gasket.

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6715318-causes_gasoline_engine_misfires . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

First check the fluid level in the engine bay - this light will also turn on if fluid is low. If it's low, you can fill and it'll be fine, but then you'll have to ask why is the fluid low? It doesn't go low unless there is a leak somewhere. If it's not low, and your E brake is not on, it's the sensor switch that needs to be replaced.

THERE ARE 2 FUSEBOXES ONE UNDER THE HOOD , ONE INSIDE THE VEHICLE. CHECK ALL FUSES WITH A GOOD FUSE TESTER. THERE ARE TEST POINTS FACING OUT ON EACH FUSE. POWER ON ONE SIDE ONLY, BAD FUSE. POWER ON BOTH SIDES, GOOD FUSE. POWER ON NEITHER SIDE , MAY BE SPARE FUSE[S]. THERE COULD BE A PROBLEM WITH THE FACTORY SECURITY SYSTEM. NOT TOO LIKELY.
