My car keep over heating
-Make sure there is full of water (Coolant) in the engine and radiator.
-If it's full but still keep over heat and the fan never turn on when it reach very hot (About 210 to 220*)
If so. Then check the thermostat. it works properly or not when it reach to 175*-180 and up...?
-Here how to test: Remove it from the car and put in a cooking pot
then boil. You need to have a temperature gage. Dip it in and watch. When it reach to 175 to 180 * if the thermostat start to open then it work properly. But if it never open or just little then you need to replace it.
-If it works good then next test the cooling fan switch.
Same procedure but this time you need a voltmeter to check in (Ohm)
-The water need to be above 220* to 230* to be able to
activate the switch ON.
-If No reading at all at 220-230* or more then possibly the switch is not working.
-If it's working then next check the two wire that connect to the switch. It should has 12 volt power there with the key on. If not then the fuse is burn. Check and replace it.
Good Luck

1999 buick lesabre stalls fuel pump goes dead and left window gets no power sits over night starts right up could someone tell me what the problem is
Interesting. Is your battery full of electrolyte and fully charged up?
You appear to link the 2 events? ....There does not, on the face of it, seem to be a fault that would cause both faults to coincide. It is possible they are discrete events.
As a first step please make sure your battery is in excellent shape and is fully charged, if that should be the cause and it remedieds the problem for a few days or weeks then recurs could you repost.
Many modern cars are sensitive to the amount of charge carried by the battery, certain systems require a minimum charge to operate correctly. It might be that your battery is borderline.
It would probably recover by the morning to enable the vehicle to start again. The window might have a motor that is getting old and is a little sticky and a low battery charge does not have sufficient power to initiate movement. I spent a while searching on line for a coincidence of the events and there is NONE. You seem to be the only person suffering with them.
The only thing common to both events is the battery.
I should say that I have experience as a mechanic nbot an electrician
What is the best rust protection for a 99 buick in
Believe it or not, it could be expensive, but that stuff they sell on TV, Flex Seal, or something like that, it would be that best protector against water, salt, weather, dirt, Etc. because of the polymer/rubber combination resists corrosion excellently. I used to work for various dealerships and we used to use Lexanite, a tar/rubber compound that worked well but eventually dried out and flaked off. If you decide to use this Flex Seal stuff, make sure that all dirt/corrosion is off of the areas that you are treating, this ensures good bonding between the metal/plastic and the compound. Hope it helps.
