Hood latch is broken on my 1979 buick riviera
You need to pull the inner cable to unlatch the hood. Look through the grill near the center of the car for the cable. If you can't reach it with your hand/fingers- use a coat hanger or pliers....

GM 3800cc V6 USING A
Look at drivers side front,near ECT and also on driverside. On upper intake(plastic) GM designed it to fail internally (where u can't see it) to drink your coolant through a bypass. Replace the intake with DORMAN. Around 150 or so.
Cant find my book and
The fuse box in inside the vehicle (not the one under the rear seat) & the fuse panel in the engine compartment both have fuses for the cooling fans. Below is a diagram of both panels and the cooling fan fuses are marked for you. If you can't find your owners manual and would like a copy, you can email me at

How to test front speed
these sensors put out a small amount of AC voltage. If you ohm them they should give some resistance. A lab scope or a graphing meter will show a pattern and sometimes its just not high enough in amplitude. What is your ABS trouble code? the harness for the speed sesnor goes bad, and is very common where the wires flex when you are turning. if the harness is bad, you should be able to get a new one from the Dealer or a AC DELCO parts house.
When I start or shut
there is a geared strap inside of a antenna that makes the unit rise and drop,, they strip out,, some can be changed as in Toyota's I'm not positive that Buick has that switch out, you'd have to pull the unit to be sure , you could also check the local junk yards to get a complete replacement for pretty cheap, just be sure and find a 12 volt power source to check it before you purchase it, they have batteries there I'm sure !!
