Yes,you can install in new shell,be careful and not to disturb the settings or you will have a problem in reprogramming.The best thing to do is,when you get it out of shell,draw a diagram of the settings,so you will always have a copy of how it is suppose to be and keep in glove box.

you can have a scanner to read out the fault code in your car's engine or other possible parts? just take a look at mitsubishi mut-3 diagnostic tool, it supports can communication system and do ecu reprogramming.

next segestion is to get the trasmition flushed and replace the fluid.

Hi, if you're sure the cable is intended for the OEM fog lights, there should be no problem. All that is required is that the cable and fuse is large enough for the 2 lights. Most times the service engine soon light means your oxygen sencor is out. The only way to know for sure is, go have a diagnostic done on it. ask the tech to translate the codes given and get a list. This should at least let you know what is wrong. If you over fill your fuel tank to many times it will cause the light to come on due to insufficant back flow, (vacum effect) in your tank.

The Catalytic converter is used to reduce the toxicity of emission. I'm pretty sure it will not harm your engine if it is bad, but it will harm the environment. It could possibly also affect performance. Are you sure it is bad? does it make a very loud muffled sound out of the ordinary? It is a long shot but you can try changing the o2 sensor. The o2 sensor is a sensor that measures the pollution and oxygen going through your converter. If it doesn't meet the requirements it will most likely trip the engine light or cause problems as well. If you really have to replace it you can try ebaying the parts needed and then call around and see who can install it.

Sounds like your new muffler should come with the extra pipe already on it to get you to the connection you speak of,if the replacement muffler does not come with the pipe then you will need to buy that pipe also
