DEFROSTER BLOWER NOT WORKING 92

Might be the Resistor pack located close to the blower. It has a flat connector with 4 or 5 wires, and two small screws holding in the duct. It may be a crispy critter. It happens... The blower moves air across it to keep it cool. The blower motor may be bad as well, or possibly the fan speed switch. May very well be the fuse for the blower as well. The blower connector may be loose. Let me know what you find.

It sounds like vacuum is not getting to the vent, heat and A/C controls. Find the vacuum can. It may be under the hood on one of the inner fenders. The "one-way" check valve is usually located in the line and close to the can, make sure it works properly. The valve could be the very thing that's causing the problem. Trace the lines back to the vacuum block at the intake manifold or fire-wall, and also back to where the line goes thru the fire-wall. Check the can for leaks or obvious holes. They used to be just a plain metal can, but it could be a plastic ball. Check the lines as you go, for breaks and rub-thru's. Move the controls thru all settings and listen for vent door movement. Worst case is a bad vacuum motor or air flow position selector switch, and/or a faulty Blend Door Actuator. If you have been driving around with the Temperature knob or control set at the same spot for months, move it from fully cold to fully hot several times and wait for the air temperature to change each time. This will help reset the blend door and vacuum control system. Hope this helps... Let me know what you find.

How to adjust headlights on

It is best to have a dealership mechanic, or a mechanic do this. However, there are (on most models) screw that you turn to adjust each side of each light. If you kneal down and look above, and beside the headlight (inside toward grill) you'll see these. It is best to do this at night, and against a dark wall or object about 50-100 feet back. Each light will need to point downward, and inward coming together (merging in the center).
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Communication established not working

If your trying to retireve codes using the OBD II port and it says something like "unable to communicate" then you need to check the fuse. On most vehicles it is the same fuse as the one for a cigarette lighter or aux power port. If the fuse is good then the PCM might be failing.

Does the fuel tank in

Hi Marglitt, The gauge should work with any amount of fuel and indicate how much is in the tank. What does happen on modern cars, is that the gauge will fail to move if a small amount of fuel is filled into the tank. This is a measure taken as most petrol driven vehicles have the pumps immersed in fuel, which helps cool the pump and prolongs the life of the unit. The reserve light may remain on if the fuel level has not risen above the operational level of the same warning light. First you have to determine weather you have a FUEL problem or (ELECTRICAL)Spark problem ??

Pull the coil wire off or a easy to get to spark plug wire, Lay it close to were you pulled it off of (Do not hold or touch you may get SHOCKED) and crank motor (need two people) look and listen for a spark, if you see or here a spark, then go to next step which will be to check for Fuel (gas). Be very careful when checking fuel, as most lines are under pressure and may cause bodily harm such as BURNS to EYES and SKIN!! Loosen or pull the inlet fuel line off and put rag over line. Some fuel injected vehicles have a fuel rail the has a valve that looks like a tire valve. Put a rag over this valve and push it in with a small screw driver and have someone crank motor a couple of times to see if fuel is coming out.

If NO Spark---Could be a lot of things Points (older vehicles) Modules, Coils, Crank Sensors, ECT......

If NO Fuel---- Could be Clogged fuel filter, Fuel Pump, Fuel pump Relay, Fuse, ECT..........

Hope this helps you ??

When starting my 1994 Diamante,

Get the idle air control valve ( IAC) valve checked. The idle air control valve is located on throttle body, this valve is not functioning as it should and causing the problem.-------- Also try cleaning both idle air control valve and throttle body with throttle cleaner and see if that is helping.----- Also other possibility is a vacuum leak will cause a high idle due to the fact more air is entering the engine which the computer will compensate by adding more fuel. ---- Get the iac, throttle , the vacuum hoses inspected. If all checked ok then problem is related to computer. It needs to be scanned. For car after 1995 it requires OBD2 tool and for car before 1995 it requires OBD1 tool.------- --------- There are very few auto parts store and repair centers who have OBD1 tool.In your case you required OBD1 tool.------ You can just contact local auto-parts store and they will guide you to the nearest store who has OBD1 tool. There you can get your car scanned. If there is error set in your cars computer, then you will receive the error code.As per error code it will point towards the faulty part causing this problem in your car.- But most probably getting the iac, throttle , the vacuum hoses inspected will help.---------- Thanks.Helpmech.
