i would start by checking the battery(most parts store can check weather or not they are shot or good) and the starter cylinoid. also verify your alternator is producing around 14 volts while the vehicle is running
Doesn't turn over or start
Five most likely causes 1. dead battery 2. faulty starter cylinoid 3. faulty ignition switch 4.loose connection at any of the points5 faulty starter relay. the battery can be removed and taken to most any parts store and checked. likewise with the starter/cylinoid. checking for loose or bad connections is pretty self explanatory. move from connection to connection and check for loose connections or corrosion. once you know your battery and starter are in working order (you should only be into this project for your time at this point) you can check your ignition switch and starter relays with a voltmeter and/or test light to identify where the current is stopping. hope this helps good luck!
