It is possible that the oil pan is leaking and the metal is geting some of that oil as well. If that doesnt solve your problem then it would be your crankshaft seal. It is a major job. There is some products you can find at auto part stores to restore engine seals but they are never guaranteed to work. I would try it if dont feel like spending some seriuos money.

Hi Guys. I took the car to the auto electrician. He says he checked everything and even had the computer tested. I am running a CCA600 battery which he said was putting out 11.6 volts which is not enough to engage the computer. He charged the battery and the car started. That was 3 weeks ago but now, after 3 days of wet weather it again will not fire. I connected the jump start to it but it still will not fire. The battery is showing full charge so I guess its electrical and I need to do some of these other checks.

Sounds like you need to change your Master Cylinder . This is the cylinder located below where the brake fluid goes. You stated no pressure and this is a symptom of this cylinder plunger going bad and not pushing fluid threw the lines. Remember to rate my solution

Hi there, i got a mitsubishi magna 1995 and happens the same, i was in shoping centre and the car didn't want to start, but reading the manual i realised that the problem was the immobliser of the car. Once is active you can't start the at least if you have the remote control a follow the steps in the manual to unlock it.
