Location of the chassis number
model not listed in my alldata book ,most models are on the top of the bulkhead under the screen ,but some big 4x4 are showiing at the back over back wheel and to the rear of it on the chassis so no doubt its corroded away ,if it has restamp it before you try importing it or you will need this certificate from dealer plus that paper signed by technical engineer and another from the customs then this and that ,in the end the paperwork costs more than the value of the vehicle ,i know because this is spain ,and of the decline of the forests through paperwork .

You know I would look on ebay for a service manual for it for less than the price of a tank of gas. I think you will find it has a hydraulic clutch and there is no adjustment, only a replacement.

This does not mean the gasket or head is damaged, but it still could be the radiator, radiators have flues in then that can stop up,witch are vanes, water flows threw to disapate the heat,if they are stopped up,the air can not cool the water cause there is no flow there,as it idles, use water hose and spray the radiator constantly and see if it stays cooler,if it does, replace the radiator,
My 1989 mit. mighty max
With a friend, crank it over and check for spark. If spark, ok. Crank over for 5 seconds or so then remove a plug or two and check for fuel, if fuel ok. Next it would have to be compression or timing. If no fuel I expect the ECU has failed (typical for late 80's early 90-'s mitsubishi's as capacitors in ECU were poor)
Use a set of NOID lights to check for injector pulse (if injected) No spark could be distributor components or if 3.0 V6 the distributor itself.
I hope this may have assited, please let me know if I may help more,
Tom
How to check for spark
Here are some ways that I use on a regular basis as follows:
1.Remove the plug wire, insert a screwdriver/plier/metal object that has a thick rubber/plastic handle (as you can be shocked through a thin handle). Hold the metal of the tool, about 1/4" away from an engine ground (intake manifold, egr pipe, ac hose, bolt, etc). Be sure that everything is clear off moving parts. Attempt to start the engine (you may need a helper) and observe a spark between the tool, and the engine ground (should be blue).
2. Using a 12 volt test light (available at auto parts store for $5) connect the lead to a ground or the negative (-) post of the battery. Locate your spark plugs, then insert the probe into the spark plug boot. Attempt to start the vehicle, the light should blink rapidly.

Not sure what year you have but if its newer than a 96 then the code is for an 02 sensor. Bank1 sensor 3
It will be the sensor after the catalytic converter. It needs to be replaced. The code is a heater code and always it points to a bad 02 sensor.
Looking to fix my engine to do the work myself Is

Well you have a lack of air being sucked into engine so check your air cleaner and all hoses coming in to air cleaner box and going from box to engine for somthing restricting the air flow and 9 times out of 10 its the filter so if dirty replace it...
Dirt particles in the diesel supply, Pajero 2.8 Jeep, 1997
There are micro organisms that can live in fuel.. Your won't believe the name of them... But they are called "humbugs" anyway if fuel has been setting above 70 degrees and is not used or recieved from a contaminated storage system it will look like there is sediment in the fuel. It will also block filters and destroy a fuel injection system. There are "Biocide " fuel treatment that can get rid of this, go on the web and search it but RACOR is a company that has treatment for this.

If it has been sitting for 5 years, your fuel pump is most likely toast. They tend to rust up without use. You may also want to look at the inside of the gas tank and make sure it is not too rusty. It may need to be replaced as well.
