The front doors wont latch shut
Check to see if the latches didn't already close.
Sometimes the latch spring closes the latch prematurely
If you look on the side of the door where the latch is located.
It has 2 pieces of metal that look like small jaws in the sideways letter W or C when it is open.
However if it's closed it will either look like a small o or metal to metal.
Then what you will need to do is have someone hold the door handle to the open position.
Take a good sized regular screwdriver and put it between where the latch metal meets.
It should start to separate without much pressure and you will see what I mean.
Then use the screwdriver to open it fully.
Cooling sensor 2005 impala
Ask parts store to show you location chart. Generally, the coolant temp sensor will be near the thermostat housing.
My 2005 chevy impala 3.8l
if you turn on the ac the other fan should come on, However I don't believe that will cure the problem your having since having the ac fan and the ac turned on pretty much cancel each other out, Putting a new thermostat on Just allows the thermostat to open and close at the set temp that's on the thermostat , Not really fixing the problem, ( unless the thermostat is stuck in the closed position would replacement of it help ) what I would suggest is to completely flush your cooling system, and add new antifreeze, antifreeze like oil breaks down, other heating problems can be caused from the car not tuned properly, check the timing , and components associated with the car running properly, ( plugs, rotor and cap, spark plug wires, )
2005 chevy impala ss.
Sounds like you have an electric cooling fan issue. Driving down the road will supply air to the radiator. When stopped the cooling fan supplies the air. Possible problems would be: cooling fan motor, fan relay, fuse, ECT (electronic coolant temp sensor). Check these parts first.

Last year my 2005 Chevy Impala water pump went out
If you have changed the water pump AND the radiator AND the thermostat and still have the problem then the hoses should be checked to be sure they are not collapsing, also make sure that the coolant is 50/50 water and coolant and the thermostat is installed right.
Strange "scraping" noise as car decelerates toward a stop
speed sensitive issue could more likely be a loose heat shield on the exhaust system. this would change with speed and heat. check hangers and connecters on exhaust, I've come across a muffler clamp that set up quite a rattle as it vibrated around the ex. pipe. could be a bent dust shield on one of the disc brakes that is rubbing on the rotor but would likely change with steering direction. take off and check the belt pulleys and idlers for a loose bearing assembly.
Is there any "clunking" when going from f to reverse? drive train joints could be responsible, and they would be sensitive to power up or deceleration differences. usually more of a vibration and not a loud noise however.
For impala 2005defroster for rear window
If the rear window has a defroster grid, check for continuity on the grid, If none, the grid is broken, the auto store should have some grid repair for that. you find the broken spot in the grid and paint over it to restore continuity.
Otherwise, I'd have to check voltage and ground for the grid.
