2005 Volkswagen Jetta Wagon. The locknuts on wheels, is tire shop responsible to replace stripped and cut bolts for not having the locknut tool.

Question edited for clarity and typos. 100% they are responsible. I live in Canada and have a set of Winter tires on steel rims and a set of Summer tires on alloys rims. I go to the same place for the swap overs, December and May. I have a set of bolts and the security socket in the box. You should have the security tool with the car jack and wrench, or how would you change a flat. However, they should have asked for the tool or declined the job. cutting bolts of and letting your daughter drive with a bolt and lug nut missing borders on criminal negligence.

VW Jetta 4 brakes binding

Sounds like brake master cylinder not relieving the pressure or if fitted the bias valve. How do you get it to unbind?Because its not consistant its hard to lock it down to a specific cause. If it isnt faulty when testing its impossible to diagnose. The problem seems to be getting worse so the fault will eventualy be able to be locked to a cause. If you have Abs the previous brake disc pad replacement may have been done incorrectly and messed with the abs or a wheel sensor could be faulty and the abs is once again being affected.

2005 vw jetta radiator cooling fan wont shut off

Check for a switch at lower part of rad. Should see a wire harness & plug on a sensor at bottom of rad. This sensor/switch also operates fan on/off according to coolant temperature. You may need to disconnect battery to get at it safely.

Interior lights won't turn on when door opens

Do you have electric locks in the vehicle? One test to do is turn on the car's headlights and open the door. You should hear a chime when you open the driver door. One other thing is to unlock the doors with the remote if you have a remote open the driver door, get in the car but don't put the key in the ignition. The doors might relock after 15-20 seconds. This proves that the door signal open is not being processed. Just tell me what model VW and what year and if you have electric locks and I'll help you.

Standard or automatic? If auto have you checked your fluid. Is it full and what does it look like a bright red or a deep burnt red that smells burnt. Automatic transmissions use solenoids to control shifts for a while now. Occasionally they can get plugged or quit working due to small metal filings that come from where on transmission. When they gopen they will cause hard shifts.. p.'s. Is it cold where you are as vw transmissions really don't like the cold. They is many reports of cold weather causing hard shifts and also slow reacting to going into drive or reverse.

Primary fuel pump (15 Amp) fuse blown (in cold weather ?)

Primary fuel pump requires replacement. Your secondary fuel pump is used only for starting and WOT situations. This is why your vehicle will start, run, and die.

On my '05 VW JETTA, there is transmission fluid

Yes, add more fluid, but at the trans dipstick tube where you check it. I'd find out why that line popped off before it happens again and ruins a costly transmission.
