Why is my car leaking oil
its common for some automakers to leak oil, run badly, break often, & otherwise be a plain hassle............I would suggest reading consumer reports before buying new or used cars.
The clutch pedal is too
its a automatic adjusting cable on this vehicle so if pedail too hight then its a new clutch
How do i remove a battery for a 98 jetta????
Disconnect the battery cable from your battery's negative terminal. Loosen the serpentine belt on your Mustang's engine by finding the "tensioner" pulley and pulling it upwards to release the tension on the belt. Slip the belt off your alternator, taking care not to also slip it off the any other pulley wheels. Use a wrench to remove the nut that secures two wires in place on the back of the alternator. Loosen the two alternator retaining bolts and remove the alternator once they are out.-------------------------------------------------------NEXIQ 125032 USB Link + Software
I just put a new head on my 96 vw jetta and its knocking
I hate to inform you that changing the head does nothing to solve this issue. The knocking sound is coming from the the piston rods inside the block. It would be in your best interest to either drop a new engine in it. Unless you want to do a complete engine overhaul sir; I would advise against the latter.
1996 VW Jetta Trek Radio won't work
I have this same issue, it is not code related, I have a code and the radio works just fine WHEN THE CAR IS OFF. As soon as the engine starts, the radio loses power, did you ever find a solution to this?
Replace oil pan gasket
really ? this is one of the easist jobs you can do on this car....drain the oil , remove the oil pan bolts, replace the gasket, clean the pan and the block of all debrie, hand tighten the pan bolts, and dont forget to put the oil back in, this is always a good time to do an oil change service.
I have 1996 vw jetta 2.0 and my reverse keep
usually a sign that that gear set is starting to go out or has already, standard transmissions CAN be rebuilt, but it's usually easier to have a used working one put in place instead. good luck to you. does it pop out of gear?
