i dont know what that code means but should not be hard to find out. Never change anything on your car guessingg that it is the problem. there might be a faulty sensor or a broken wire and you went out and spent alot of money and headache to put a new transm !!!!!since your problem is defenitly not the transmission, i would say there is poor comunication between the gear box and ecu
I don't know how to read the spark plugs. They
Do you have symptoms of an issue? Some oil is normal for a car this old. Post a pic of them if you want us to read them for you. Otherwise, replace the plugs, making sure the gap is set to 0.044 in.
I added Repco additive Petrol Boost and Clean, to my 1996 mitsi galant. Now it wont go. Have batte power. Do I drain the fuel tank or do I buy more fuel to dilute it?
Hopefully you added this product to a FULL tank of gas. That is usually what the directions call for. However, if you didn't, you can top off the tank which will dilute it but probably not fix the problem. I would suspect the fuel filter got clogged or maybe the fuel injectors. I hope you don't have to drain the gas tank, it is messy. If you have to change the fuel filter, here are some suggestions from DMV.org:
"
Turn off the car before you work on the fuel system AND remove the fuel pump fuse or relay.
Smoking's extra life-threatening while working with fuel, so don't do it.
If you are working in an enclosed garage, make sure there is adequate ventilation.
Gasoline is a serious skin irritant; wear petroleum-resistant gloves, like like nitrile, while handing fuel or fuel lines.
Automotive fuel is also a known carcinogen, so avoid breathing fumes or prolonged exposure.
Clean up any spills immediately and dispose of any gasoline or fuel-soaked rags and the old fuel filter properly. Be sure to handle the old fuel filter carefully, as it will still contain a small amount of fuel."
Distributor stuck won;t go all the way in
the drive gear or shaft is not aligned properly . you may have to turn the shaft slightly to get alignment.
check that the "o" ring under the distributor is not holding up the process.
I NEED THE SIZE OF THE SOCKET TO REMOVE THE HEAD BOLTS
Hi Joseph, I'm glad to help!
Joseph, I just told you how to check for valve seals. Listen carefully if your engine doesn't have a lot of miles then the "Valve Seals" can be replaced with the head still on the car which will cut down on cost of the repair. If it does have tons of miles then a "Valve Job" would be the correct way to "GET-UR-DONE". Hope this helps and have an awesome day again Joseph.

WHY DOES MY 1996 GALANT BLOW OUT A HUGE CLOUD OF SMOKE WHEN I START IT THEN GOES AWAY IM USING A TON OF OIL
Hi Joseph, I'm glad to help!
When engine get a lot of miles on them the seals get hard and bridle and allows oil you slip by and it goes out the exhaust in at cloud of smoke. Here's a way to see if it is you "Valve Seals". When your driving it usually clears up and you have no smoke. Here's what you need to do after driving the car and it has cleared up, pull into a parking lot and let it sit and idle for 3 minutes. If a cloud of smoke comes out of the tailpipe when you take off, then you have bad "Valve Seals" and they will need to be replaced. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Joseph.
Why does my car bog down and wont accelerate up a hill?
Usually a sign of a fuel problem, either too much or too little.
Too much could be several problems including a clogged air filter, too little could be a weak fuel pump or other issue.
A mechanic would check fuel pressure and air flow first.

the truth is , you didnt post country, nor engine size.
they match engine power to transmission (load rating)
so>? forget that.. that is for later.
IT DIED< so if the engine dont START the tranny issues are moot.
so does it crank.????
if it cranks , it next needs spark got spark to all cylinders.
that is if its not the Diesel engine, IS IT??
