Fuse Box Diagram

The manual does not show which fuse is for what operation. The kickpanel only shows a F..1...to16 code number with the amperage of the fuse. How do I know which fuse does what?

on the kickpanel it shows the layout... match the number to the right of the F to the cavity number in the manual and it will tell you what fuse is for what so F11 on the kickpanel corresponds to cavity 11 in the manual for mine i believe that was for the sirius satellite radio

The PCM (vehicle computer) controls the power windows for your vehicle. check the power window relay under the hood before repairing PCM. Also the cheapest way is to call local garage and ask if they have a TECH2 scanner to talk to the PCM. The Dealer will charge you about $95hr. to do this.

2004 Dodge Durango blower fan does not work

This weekend, the blower fan quit working on my 2004 Dodge Durango. The cold air comes out of the vents, but you can not control the volume of air. I checked all the mini fuses in all 3 fuse boxes and all of them were fine. It seems that there is very little available information as to what fuse goes to what. The diagrams on the fuse blocks and the owners manual is not helpful at all. Is the blower fan a fuse problem or is it one of the electrical problems that will need assistance from the Dodge service man? Does anyone publish a more detailed diagram for what fuse runs each circuit?

If your blower only worked on high before it quit, or didnt work on high before it quit,

You probably have a faulty blower motor resistor assembly. The part number is 04885635ab If you look on the bottom of the motor housing on the passenger side (about where the passenger toes would point) you will see a wire harness that is a long oval in shape and has 5 or 6 wires in it. You will need a 7 or 8mm 1/4 inch drive socket with a u-joint attachment. on the firewall side of the connector, there is a sliding lock that keeps the connector on the plug. you will have to slide the lock toward the drivers side and the squeeze a small blak tab to pull the connector off of the plug. Once the connector is off, use the socket to remove the 2 screws. It will drop right down once the screws are removed. Once it is removed, it looks like a 2 inch by 3 inch by 16th of an inch thick piece of metal with a plug on it. The resistor pack dissipates ALOT of heat so do not take it out until the truck has been off for 30 minutes or so. I priced the part at a dealership for $12.77

I own a 04 durango and the door lock actuator froze up internally and I could not open the rear hatch. After hours of research on my computer nothing seemed to fix the problem. I eventually figured it out myself. You must pull the screws out of the molding on the inside of the rear door. You can now pull the molding toward you and look down at the actuator and latch. You can pull on the molding quite a bit if necessary. I never broke mine and I was pretty agressive with it. Now, on top of the whole mechanism is the lock actuator. There should be a white plastic lever sticking out towards the driver side. If you can slide it from back to forward "forward is front of vehicle", the lock should be working. If not your door is not unlocking. My durango had 3 Torx screws on top of the actuator. Remove them. This will take the actuator off of the latch. Now that the actuator is not binding or holding the lock from moving, again try to move the white plastic lever towards front of vehicle. It should click and you should be able to open the door.

Possible causes of the oil light coming on are -
low oil pressure
dirt in the passage behind the oil pressure switch
a faulty oil pressure switch.
Most people either replace the switch or have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge.
