Removing the intake looks ******* the 750il m70 but its not. I took mine off and painted it glossy black with rustoelum. You will need to disconnect and remove your fuel injectors and wire harness. Then with a flat head lososen and remove both of your air filter housings then use a 10mm socket remove your throttles. Dont forget to disconnect the sensors in back of the intakes aswell. Use a 10 remove the intake bolts. The bottom bolts are tricky and hard to see you will need to remove the injector silencers which are the two small walls made of fiber and foil. They are located right between the intake and valve covers. A few screws at the top of the intake hold them in and can easily be removed. After that you will needa long extension to get to the bottom row of 10mm bolts. Use the openings you made by removing the silencers to get easy access to the bottom row. The bolts will fall after you unscrew them so i use a piecec of paper and jam it into my socket so the bolt eont come out. After you remove the bolts you can pull both intakes up at one time. The M70 has two fuel pumps; one for each cylinder bank. One of mine died. I was able to access the fuel lines at the drivers side (US) rear of the engine. I spliced in a 10mm "Y" connector to the good pump and tied the two fuel rails together temporarily. Runs like a champ!

You have to jack up and jump from starter or open thunk, remove wires from trunk lamp and trickle charge battery through thoes wires. 2 amp only. Takes a while

How much is it losing? Believe it or not it is common for some cars to have significant loss through either Blow By, a fault in the emissions system--or if it's a BMW, have the positive crankcase vent valve checked, the oil seperator diaphram could be deteriorated----is it blowing white smoke?

Do you have an owner's handbook? What happens is that they use a rod that looks like a big screw. If that track has been damaged in any way, it can bind and may require excessive force to close. The manual indicates that some resistance is felt at the halfway point and that if if triggers it to retract, to hold the button forward. If this does not work, I would push with my hand while holding the button til it is closed. The headliner may have to be removed to gain axcess to be repaired. You need a mother board for your cluster.I would try picknpull. The mother board is the black box on the very bottom of the cluster.pull it out and replace it with a good one.Be sure to reset your odometer for correct mileage.

Has anything been spilled into the gearbox or shifter area?

That year model had issues with shorting out of the cicuitboards, unfortunately the solution is to replace whole assembly

The coil is located right beside the passenger side strut tower.

There should be a cover on the front side roof next to the sunroof opening, remove the cover, under it you should see a portion of the drive mechanism for the sunroof, look for a hex head socket in this drive mech, insert the size allen wrench and turn, it should turn and wind down fairly easy, do not force it as you may break it, use caution. It is normally located near the exhaust manifold and is responsible for a cleaner exhaust fume.Many vehicle will not function properly is it this is blocked etc.Hope this gives you an idea.

check/replace trans fluid, if that doesn't get it, turn your head 180degrees and go.
