coolant flows from the top to the bottom, the spring side of the thermostat goes to the engine

well it can be numerious reasons ,, If the rest of the system is working like alarm ,, and immobilizer etc,, chances are its the regulator / regulator relay..
you need to remove the upholestry on the driver side door. there is a regulator that connects to the lock rods,, check to see if its getting power,, you do this by connecting a multimeter on the wires ane pressing the unlock button on the remote,, it should spike to 12 volts and then drop back,, if your getting power,, change the regulator,, if not trace the wires to the relay and check for power on the relay in the came manner ,, if your getting power to the relay then change the relay if its int then look for the acc fuse in the fuse panel under the hood,, change that fuse..

Try spraying some WD-40 on the tracks and guides.

If you noticed the problem started out small, then progressivley got worse, then the likely culprit is a Vaccuum Leak.

If problem suddenly ocurred, then this would likely be a faulty Throttle Position Sensor (TPS - this sensor responds to your gas pedal position).

Both problems above will give incorrect data to your EFI computer, causing erratic air/fuel mixture.

My best advice is to have your vehicle Diagnostics checked for Trouble Codes - this will immediately identify if the TPS is at fault.

Dimmer switch worn out.

The iHKA is the air conditioning control unit. The panel where you turn on and off the air conditioning and adjust the temperature. The I-drive screen is actually called a CID and it is a control display for all the functions such as navigation, radio, settings, climate control, services due, etc... There really is not a way to fix them without replacement. The control units are programmed to the vehicle and are usually VIN specific and cannot be used from car to car without causing other issues. I have used them temporarily to test a module but never left in or tried coding mine to another model. That makes it hard because you must replace it and that is expensive !!! You can try a used one from a junk yard but most likely will cause new issues

solenoids can be replaced with out affecting the transmission however the burnt oil indicates that the transmission may need a band/ clutch pack adjustment shifting problems are servo/ solenoids , TR sensor , VSS sensor or the TCM

Use a ohms meter on end terminals, you may have to disconnect it depending on the circuit .

Smoke from where exactly? Under the hood? From the exhaust? You need to be more specific.
