You have random misfire codes as well as misfires detected on cylinders #2 and #4. P0011 is likely the root cause of the misfire being detectedP0011 VOLKSWAGEN - 'A' Camshaft Position Timing Over-Advanced Or System Performance problems.Possible causes- Dirty engine oil- Low engine oil level- Camshaft actuator circuit open or shorted- Camshaft actuator circuit poor electrical connection- Faulty camshaft actuator There may be a factory bulletin on this code, check with the VW dealer on that. Airbag light

all the vehicles i've ever worked on, about the air bag light thing.Vehicles have what is known as a clock spring under the steering wheel, you have to pull the steering wheel to getto it. VW may call it something else. That clock spring allows the steering wheel to be able to move, and it feedsinfo to the steering wheel air bag. it's nothing but a wire connection that moves without breaking. After a lot ofdriving the spring gets a lot of action and will finally break so the info is then blocked and the air bag light goes on.If you decide to tackle it, disconnect the battery first thing, you could set off the air bag if you don't. The clockspring can be removed and tested with a volt ohm meter to see if it has a reading or not. no reading bad...reading ofany kind good. The spring isn't cheep, and the repair isn't easy. You also have to be sure you have everything corrector the air bag can go off when you reconnect the battery.

I just had serpentein belt

sounds as though the belt is slipping. You should have a tension pulley to take up the slack. I'd take it back to the shop and let them know it is slipping. The more it slips, the slicker the belt will get and the more it will slip until eventually, it will burn, tear and will have to be replaced again.

Make sure they don't just spray it with belt dressing as that is a temporary fix. The tension must be correct. If you paid for the service, make sure they do it correctly.

Hi I am getting a

It appears you are having trouble with your fuel pressure regulation. Check for leak at vacuum hose connections to fuel pressure regulator. Your fuel pressure is low causing the fuel mixture to vary. This is causing your idle control valve to compensate. You may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. Check to see if gas is coming out of the vacuum fitting on the fuel pressure regulator, this would explain the problems you are experiencing, as raw fuel would be flowing into the vacuum line and into the engine causing a very rich mixture. you could check the fuel pressure but I'm guessing you don't have the gauge to do it.

My key will go into

Hi,

You either have a faulty ignition switch or the electronic key removal prevention solenoid is faulty. Do you have less than 50000 miles?

If it is More than 50K, that's unfortunate because your bumper to bumper warranty is up. So, you're going to have to have the ignition cylinder replaced most likely. If I had the car I would scan faults first which I'm sure the dealer will do to be sure it's not that electric cylinder but if your check engine light isn't on it will have to be with the dealer scan tool.

The dealer will have to vin order an ignition cylinder and it will take about a week to get in at the least unfortunately.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Car looses power up a hill

How slight was the hill and how much weight did you have in your car? When you got power back was it because you were no longer on the hill or were you going downhill?
You may just need to drop down a gear to get the power back, if you have a heavy car even slight hills can cause it to lose power especially if your in top gear. You have a "sports transmission" option (I'm pretty sure it's on all the DSG transmissions) you just need to move it across to the +/- bit and move the stick to the - to go down a gear. Otherwise you'd have to wait until your auto decides it's lost enough revs to go down a gear. Which is why I hate autos.
Otherwise it could be bad fuel or something wrong with the turbo.

My key will not go into the ingition.

Just had the issue on my 2006 GTi. I used 3-1 oil and pushed the key in until it stopped. If you look into the ignition, there is a little grey tab. That is the part you need to settle back in. I pushed the key forward and back a couple times until I heard a "click". I looked in and the tab had reseeded. My key then went in. Jerking the steering wheel doesnt help. nor does forcing it the key in. Use lubricant and a method to allow the lubricant to work its way into the grey tab. www.nftuboise.com

You can be sure you have engine damage now. There is not just one thing to check. It needs to go to the shop ASAP before you drive it anymore.

Possible damages

Main bearings
Rod bearings

Bent rods
Damaged Piston and wrist pins
Damaged cam
Broke springs
Bent valves
Damged crank
The list can go on. So that is be best advice to give.
