Fuel leak

check under the hood for any leaks from the fuel line, which comes up in front of the firewall and then turns back toward the engine. from the rear. This could be a vacuum line leaking to the exhaust canister, it could be a leak near the fuel tank or filler coming from a vapor recovery line that goes to the engine compartment. Check the trunk to see if it has that smell. If so, check for a vacuum line under the car and see if it is unhooked and/or cracked. (does the smell get worse after you've filled the tank?) If so, this may be the culprit.Replace these lines as necessary. Good luck.

How to reset theft system 2007 pontiac g6 convertible

The security, antitheft, or passlock light is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterperates this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link may help you find ways to bypass this or fix it yourself.http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

My car hesitates when driving

This is generally a miss fire but it could also be a blocked fuel filter or air filter. Have a mechanic scan the ECU for any errors to give you a clue. As a general guide - If all your filters are good then check the ignition system plugs, ignition coils and fuel injectors. Flat spots after this could be as serious as worn cam or a myriad of other things like bad connections / electrical.
