The pcm or power control module is located on the drivers side of the engine.

Possible blown head gasket? Pressure coming from the engine combustion. Remove spark plugs and check for coolant coming out of the cylinders. Hope this helps!
Smoking with sweet smell
White smoke sweet smell. Sounds like Antifreeze evaporating..check your radiator and hoses, as well as your heater core. It is hard to fully answer a question without a hands on inspection, kind of like me asking you over the phone if you like my new tie I am wearing..
A/C cooling on one side only
could be the switch or the blower motor for the side not working. it could also be a fuse or relay. I would check them first as they are the cheaper to replace
My 2000 Bonneville has dual
I assume that your concern is about trying to get cold air from both sides (not warm).
It could be the actuator or blending doors, but the most common answer is that your freon is low. I have a 2005 Bonneville and had the same problem. The good news is that you probably only need one can of freon and the auto parts stores have kits for the do-it-yourselfer. If you haven't done it before, I highly recommend going to someone that has done it before.
The bad news is that you have a slow leak, and it will not fix itself. You will probably have to pay a professional big bucks to eventually find and repair the leak.
I've topped my freon off a couple times, and suspect the leak is down by the compressor. I'm currently sweating it out until I can get it fixed.
