How do you remove the passenger door panel?

The secret to getting the panel off is the hidden screw under the door light cover. There's a couple more but mainly held on by plastic door pins that you have to pop out of the metal door framing. Not hard really.

HOW TO REPLACE BRAKE LIGHT ON 1997 F 150 TRUCK

if only one side of brake light is out it's probally the bulb, these are easly changed , by first going to auto parts store and getting new bulb , then using phillips head screwdriver remove four screws that are around permiter of tailight that is out , carefull dont loose these screws you'll need to put them back , gently rock tailight back and forth to break gasket seal and pull light straight out of truck it comes out about 10 inches , this modle has if i remember right three bulbs in taillight it's the center one if i remember right grap the white plastic bulb holder firmly and turn 1/4 turn counterclockwise the bulb holder should come free of tail light , grab bulb with one hand and holder with other and wiggle gently sideto side till bulb pops free of holder , use a clean towel or cloth to hold new bulb and insert it back same direction as previous bulb, wipe all smuges and fingerprints off bulb (this would cause hot spot on bulb and make it fail early) reinsert holder into tail light , I use car wax as gasket renewer on tail light border before i put it back in, but thats optional reinstall all four screws back in , there you are done !!

My 2000 Oldsmobile alero's Low Trac and trac off

the only way to know for sure isto get it diagnosed. Even if we guessed it would still need to be diagnosed with a data scanner to see what the sensors are doing.

Ran Hot Won't Start

You just blew your head and gasket. I just had that same thing happen last month. When it over heated is the time that you blew the engine head's gasket. When you kept driving it is when you damaged your engine head. You also should have noticed that the as soon as you put water in the radiator that it was leaking out back of engine from the freeze plug or plugs. Cost of freeze plug is couple bucks "looks like small cup cake tin." The Freeze plug has to be replaced 1st, but depending on how bad the head is damaged you could get off cheap by pouring in a $40 gasket sealer liquid down into the radiator and lots of water to keep the water level up. I would also remove the thermostat and put host back on. Since your car is older that I do not think it ruined the values or rods.

How do fix a sunroof on a 2000 alero that is stuck open and only makes a clicking sound

I'm not familiar with this particular model but it sounds like you ran the motor past the track limits. You will have to take it apart again and reset the motor onto the track, as well as reestablish the track limits for raising and lowering the sunroof. I'm not sure how familiar you are with doing this kind of work, but you would do well to get a factory shop manual in order to do it correctly. It's not a particularly brilliant system. When you hit the switch, the motor will keep running until it hits the contact on the track that cuts the power. If it doesn't, or the contact is in the wrong place, it will run off the track and then just spin. This true for both directions. Did you notice either of these when you replaced the motor? The shop manual should be able to tell you how to set them correctly.

No gas pressure

Try checking to see if there is fuel coming from the fuel line, it will be under the hood. What your looking for is the fuel line where the fuel injectors are at. Follow the line until you see a nozzle ( it looks like the air nozzle where you put air in the tire). Turn the car on and if no fuel sprays out then you need to replace the fuel filter. Also you may want to check the fuel relay, while your at it check all the fuse in your fuse box under the hood and in your car. Good luck.

2000 olds alero cranks then makes a metal grinding sound and won't start

You need to have your flywheel: replaced.Your starter motor engages against the fly wheel at the back of the motor. Every time your motor stops it tends to be in the same few positions (just the way things work) so there is more stress on some parts of your fly wheel than others. Because of this the teeth wear out on the fly wheel which means the starter can correctly engage on the fly wheel which is the grinding noise.
