Trouble code 23'15 car is in slow mode. 05 cdi
Hi most likely the EGR valve.
Thats an exhaust gas recycler vale, are you geting an engine light aswell?
does the car feel ver slow and stuggling with power and on hills. you can clean the EGR if thats the issue, or also the air mass sensor although you would be getting rough idle as well.
Please let me know if you need more info about the EGR.
Regards
Dan

ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING MERCEDES BENZ
The check engine light comes on and stays on when a problem is detected by the self diagnosis system of your vehicle. Generally, the problem is in the emissions or something that is affecting the effectiveness of the emissions, but other causes can trigger the light to come on, too. To determine the cause, the vehicle will need to be taken to AutoZone or a shop that has an OBD2 scanner, or for 1995 and earlier models, an OBD1 scanner, While a scanner will not give you the magic answer, it will give you a code that narrows down the problem area.
A flashing check engine light is an indication of a severe misfire or problem that is likely to harm your engine. Immediate diagnosis and service is needed.
Some specific causes for the light to be on are:
Gas cap left off, not tightened, not installed correctly, or needs to be replaced
02 sensor
Engine misfire - error might clear itself after 3 complete warm-up cycles; not restarts, but warm-ups
At start up for a bulb check - Should not stay on
Problem in the emission system, including clogged exhaust or the catalytic converter not functioning properly
Dirty/clogged air filter
Dirty MAF sensor

2005 mercedes c class will not start
Dealer only ,encrypted software ,start playing with it and?????? if anything goes wrong then factory immobilisor cuts in and it has to be connected to the internet via factory and it will not be released to start unless the bar code on the spare part box has been read by the operator with the bar code reader thats on the computer .This part is then recognised as the relevant fault code from the diagnostic check and with a genuine part for that fault code the computer releases the factory immobilisor.SO MUCH FOR THE AMERICAN FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

Engine clicking on Mercedes C230 Kompresor 2005
I had the same problem...took it in for service and it turns out my water pump was faulty. In fact it had blown. The clicking was the valve running metal to metal.

Loud whining noise coming from electrics. Changes
A loud whining noise under load would generally point to an alternator with either bad bearings or internal issues. Alternators are rebuildable and can be tested on the vehicle by a good rebuild shop. You can do an overhaul yourself but suggest you have it properly tested at a shop. Even a drop in exchange /rebuilt unit should save you 30%.
If the internal electronics in the alternator are problematic they could cook your battery if left unchecked

Has recently blown inline 15 amp starter motor
Hi
DO NOT put a bigger fuse in ,you need to find out why the fuse blew in the first place,it is unlikely to be the starter motor,it could be a bad connection, the mercedes all have problems with the ignition switch assembly this is more likely.
