Change ECTsensor on a 2001 f150 5.4L triton
You have 2 seperate engine temp sensors....1) coolant temperature sensor, which is located next to the water outlet
on top of the engien where the upper radiator hose connects. This coolant temp signal is used
by the powertrain control module to control such things as fuel mixture,
transmission shift points, and cooling fan operation when the engine is
hot. If this sensor has failed in such a way that the PCM thinks that the
engine is cold, it should also be running very rich (black smoke from the tail
pipe, rough idle, very poor fuel economy). 2)Cylinder Head Temperature sensor..You probably cannot see this one, as it is
located on the head underneath the intake manifold. You have to Remove the intake manifold to get to this part...Sometimes you can get by just changing the thermostat ...If it is faulty it will show as a sensor..Anywho they usually twist out ond in..Always make sure you diconnect the battery while working with electronics....If it is giving a P0125 code this is usually caused by a thermostat that is worn out..

How do you reprogram keyless remotes
First, of all... make sure all of the remotes have fresh batteries. Have them all together with you.
1) Sit in truck, and use the door armrest door lock button to lock and then release (open) the lock.
2) With Foot on brake, insert key into ignition...
(and as quickly as you can)...
3) Turn the key from off to on (do not start) about eight times...
4) When you hear the door locks begin to operate, stop turning the key...
5) go to Any and All of your remotes, and push the lock or unlock button once on each remote.
6) Then turn the ignition off and remove the key.
7) Test your keyless remote, they should work...
If not, in some cases, you have to also have the seatbelt clicked into the on position before starting the key sequence.
