Supposed Fix: Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid; Exact Location & Replacement Procedure??
Malfunction
The evaporative control (EVAP) system captures any raw fuel evaporating from the fuel storage system (e.g. the fuel tank, filler neck, and fuel cap). Under precise operating conditions-dictated by engine temperature, speed, and load-the EVAP system stores and purges these captured fuel vapors back into the combustion process. The carbon canister, which stores the raw fuel vapors, utilizes a vent valve that allows fresh air to enter the EVAP system. This displaces the fuel vapor as it's purged into the combustion process.
Code P0449 indicates that the evaporative control (EVAP) system vent valve solenoid is malfunctioning. This can be caused by either too little or too much electrical resistance or a mechanical problem with the vent valve itself.
P0449 Symptoms
- Check Engine Light will illuminate
- In most cases, there are no adverse conditions noticed by the driver
- In some cases, there may be a noticeable fuel odor caused by the release of fuel vapors
Common Problems That Trigger the P0449 Code
- Missing fuel cap
- Defective Evaporative Vent Valve
- Defective or damaged fuel cap
- Distorted, damaged or cracked Fuel Tank Filler Neck
- Torn or punctured Evaporative system hose(s)
- Defective Fuel Tank Sending Unit gasket or seal
- Split or damaged Carbon Canister
- Defective or damaged fuel tank
Common Misdiagnoses
- Fuel cap
- Evaporative Purge Valve
- Evaporative Vent Valve
Polluting Gases Expelled
- HCs (Hydrocarbons): Unburned droplets of raw fuel that smell, affect breathing, and contribute to smog

Problems with rear air shock auto leveler.
Hello,
Assuming you did replace with the same type of air-shock, it may seem simple, however ensure the hoses are reconnected and air tight. Spray soapy water on the air lines to check for leaks (you'll need to adjust the load to ensure pump function).
Speaking of pump function; check your pump by turning the key to ON. Wait 30 seconds and you should hear the air pump running under the right rear of the car (under the trunk next to the subframe).
If you can not hear the pump running, then check all fuses. If fuses are good and pump does not run, then it may be time for a replacement pump.
I hope this helps.

My rear window wont go up, last year the other
You need to use the windows more often. To put the window up.start the car,go to the door with the window stuck down, now,as you hit the button on the door to the up position,HIT THE DOOR HARD! The window will go up but it may take a few tries.Push button up just as you hit the door hard.A rubber hammer helps get a good hard hit.

Click on the link, you can see the start 1 relay, underhood fuse box. You can see the start circuit breaker and pcm fuse. Not only check the circuit breaker and fuse, use a test lite and check voltage at fuse and circuit breaker. The CB is hot all the time, the fuse goes hot with key on.
I noticed in the diagram, the start relay has no pin numbers on it, sometimes that means the relay is soldered into the fuse block circuit board, you can't pull it out. You can try to pull it? The ground for control side of relay is grounded by pcm. I didn't see neutral switch mentioned in diagram, that switch is a thought. Just my opinion.

Bad low speed rattle
You can also have someone drive and sit in the back seat and listen to which side it is on... Removing the seat might help you isolate the problem, while you listen. Wouldn't hurt to take stethescope or short hose along to listen. It probably is something simple as mentioned above, like myself when I couldn't find a large rattle... eventually found some loose tools in the spare tire well in the trunk. Hope this helps, Rick

2001 buick lesabre intermitenly shuts off while
Sounds like a battery or charging system problem. Get the battery tested as it may not be able to charge all the way up. If the altenator is having a rectifver problem it could be adding AC current to the information bus and could be fooling the computer and making the rpm sense wrong so it turns the idel all the way down. Sometimes the EGR valve can have a piece of carbon stuck in it making a vacume leak or and other vacume leak. The crankshaft senser can be dropping out and can be hard to catch with the scanner hooked up have someone drive the car and you watch the scanner watching the data stream. Low coolant and the senser coming into and out of the water makes them do this too. A bad therostate or coolant problems ( exhaust in the coolant) ( bubbles from leaking water pump ) does the same thing. Go though the security reset procedure as the scanner recommends. Run though the tests that the scanner will do you can have it not pass a test for anything fix that and your problem is fixed too.
