If your long term fuel trims are high (>10%) then it's running lean and likely vacuum leak. Fuel pump should be replaced with an OEM Siemens/VDO brand every 100k miles.

If the key turns in the lock, but does nothing, then the linkage has become disconnected or broken. The key is mechanical to the lock and the lock has a electrical switch to operate the central locking unit. Could be a simple broken clip from the lock barrel. Hope this helps

Have you checked to see if your switch is on? Your lights will work weather the key is on or not.

BMW 325 series has another way to open the trunk ,right at the driver side lever .

This is funny. How do you know that it wount srart if you can't open the doors? Ofcourse the battery can be dead, but it is wery common thst the bodymodule breaks. That's the reason for doors not opening. Usually. There is lots of info availeble, just goigle e46 bodymodule. Startingproblem is something I need more info about. Unless the problem is dead battery.

Replace the battery. Or charge it.

Check for broken breather hose from valve cover and follow it under the intake. You may also have a ruptured diaphragm crankcase ventilation valve (vac leak), bolted under intake manifold.

The gear is loose or worn or there is something in the lanes that stops it going forward. May be dirt, small branch or leaves. Clean it first if it still stick check the gear that moves the door.

i dont think it turns if has a hinge , it will probably lift up from opposite side to the hinge
