How do i reset the clock on a 2006 touareg?
I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master.
It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything

The battery is almost bead, the car won't start, how do I jump start my touareg 2006 V6
place the positive lead from the jump battery to the positive terminal of the dead battery. take the negative lead from the jump battery and place it on the engine or other metal point--- NOT TO THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF THE BATTERY-- If you do then you run a real risk of a power surge that will fry the ECM
However with a dead battery if the cells are failed then the power from the jump battery will probably feed the dead short in the dead battery and it may not work
Best have a load test done on the dead battery to see if it is faulty (cold weather) or just flat

Your A/C system is controlled by your onboard computer. The FIRST thing that needs to be done is to scan the computer system for fault codes and perform function tests on all of the mode control actuators and insure that all elecrical components are functioning as designed. Please note that Volkswagen requires that a VAS 5051/5052 scan tool (or equivalent) must be used to perform this function. Most generic scanners CANNOT be used to do this. The SECOND thing that should be done is to connect a set of gauges and check the high and low side pressures. Without any fault codes or pressure readings, there is not much that anyone can do besides GUESS what could be causing your problem.

From the point of view of doing any damage to the vehicle, yes, it's OK to drive and you won't damage it. From the point of view of fuel economy and failing emissions tests, you may find that you use more fuel or fail an emissions test. That said, I had a Toyota with the same problem and it had no effect whatsoever on the fuel consumption or the emissions.
