2006 Mitsubishi Outlander - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

If the cause of the problem is fixed, the light will go out by itself. If you haven't fixed the underlying problem, the light will stay on. You can clear the codes with a scan tool, but it'll come right back on the instant you turn the ign key.

Why did you replace the sensor in the first place is the first question. If it already didn't start then the crank sensor was not the problem, crank sensor faults can be logged for other reasons. If it did start put the old one back in and try again.

oil pumps are in the sump and run in oil
there is no bearing as such as the shaft and gears are just a close fit in the cast housing which is lubricated by passing oil under pressure
as for a noise, if you can hear it there will be little or no oil pressure
However water pumps bearings regularly fail and you will hear it. mostly a sort of tinny rattling noise or a low grumble.

Hi, did you know there is a recall on the indicator/headlight stalk. The plug in the base may be faulty. I wolud check with a Mitsubishi dealer or gGoogle, if your car is included. You need your VIN number. Does it work when you pit your hazards on or you lock the car? If not may be it is the plug in the back of the globe. Good Luck

Becker Radio Code
If the display shows CODE WAIT then the car radio is probably blocked by too many incorrect entries. You can re-enter the code after leaving the device simply up to 3 hours with ignition ON !
- BUT:
if you DON'T know the code then you need to pay for a decoding service on eBay....
(I do hope you are the legal owner of the radio)

you need to lift up the black plastic covers with a screwdriver or another flat tool at the front bottom side and split the one in the middle on the top - slide them away -then you should see the screws holding the rack to the rail.

You may have a security issue with your key not being recognized by your vehicle, or possibly a weak fuel pump. It would be best to have it diagnosed at a shop.

The code is printed in the Owners Manual, IF you bought it without the owners manual you need to take it to a dealer to look up the code.
