Ignition switch
Hi,sounds like the ignition switch isn't 'resetting' correctly. You'll likely need the dealer to fix the issue. Or you can try replacing the ignition cylinder, but usually requires special tools as it's 'secured' to prevent auto theft.GL,TD

The AC stops blowing air for a while and then
Have you noticed that the AC quits blowing cold air when you are heavy on the throttle, or climbing a hill? Does it return to blowing cold air when you let back off the throttle and relieve the load from the engine?
If you answered YES to those questions, your AC is operating normally. AC compressors take quite a bit of power from the engine to operate. In vehicles with smaller engines, the AC compressor will disengage when there is a heavy demand for power placed on the engine, and you will not get cold air. When that demand is gone, it re-engages power to the AC compressor.

AT Warning light and Check engine light both turned on
Unfortunately Mazda didn't have the best transaxles out there. First you have to find out what the code is. If the shift solenoid acts up, it will turn the "check engine" light on and well as the AT light. Take it to a shop that is able to scan the codes and let you know what it is. If it's a shift solenoid code, in which that's what I'm expecting, check all the connections to the trans. at the plugs. Look for any frayed wires, burnt or dirty plugs, and any pins that may have lost contact with the sensors on the trans. If all of them look good, take it to a trans. shop for further tests.

Locating starter on 2006 Mazda 3
The starter is found in between the transmission and the block. If I recall my Mazda's correctly it is located on the side near the firewall. It is mostly cylindrical with wires coming from it.

Engine code p0138
Code 138 is for a problem with the O2 sensor for bank one sensor two. Sensor two is after the catalytic converter. The computer is getting a high voltage reading from the sensor.Usually the sensor is at fault, but it would need to be tested to verify before replacement.
