check for correct turbo operation run the fault codes

You need the charging system tested when this light is on, the dealer is your best option here as they have special test equipment.

Where did you get the new key/remote? If it was not a guaranteed OEM replacement, the code is probably not correctly set and you will no comeback on the supplier. If you DID get the new one from an authorized dealer, take it back and demand they fix it properly.

Check your oil. Very low oil can cause the motor to shut off like that.
What kind of vehicle? And do you get a check engine light?

There are 3 reservoirs on the right hand side of the vehicle under the bonnet towards the back near the firewall. Look at the caps - they should be marked. The coolant filler is the one in the centre. Whatever you do, DO NOT put coolant into the others - the rear one is brake fluid and the front one is power steering fluid

What was the reason for thermostat replacement? Was it overheating? Are you losing coolant now? Is there oil in the radiator or water in the oil? The white/gray smoke could be a sign of head gasket problems.

First check the level of the fluid in the transmission, sounds like it ran low or empty.

Do you know what engine scan data is ? Disconnecting sensors is not the way to find a problem ! What is the computer seeing as data input signals . Sounds like the door has a wring issue or a defective door ajar sensor. This system can be scanned for faults, have that done.
