The 2007 Lincoln MKX is definitely towable "4 down". According to the owners manual: The ignition switch needs to be in the accessory position (position 2 of the 4 possible positions) so that the steering wheel is able to turn to let the front wheels track the towing vehicle. The transmission needs to be in "N" so that the engine's disconnected. The parking brake needs to be off, and the engine should be run for 5 minutes before starting out and "at fuel stops". This makes the vehicle a good vehicle to tow along with you behind your motorhome. The folks at Blue Ox make an excellent tow "baseplate" that is practically invisible yet hooks up easily to the motorhome. The BX2192 package is made specifically for the '07 to '10 MKX. It works beautifully with my '07!

check coolant level and check radiator fan operation when then car is idling in park. if your fans aren't coming on you have a problem with the fan switch or circuit.

check the fuse first then the bulbs they may have burned out because they are on constantly

Things to check (in order of likelihood):

1. Fluid level and condition in rear differential;
2. Drive shaft center bearing;
3. Rear outer bearings;
4. Front bearings (have they been packed with grease in the past three years?);
5. U-Joints
6. Tires (separating tread, flat spots, etc.)

The Horn is behind and below the passenger headlamp. It could be the relay as well.

It SHOULD be behind the grille, or might be inside the engine compartment near the radiator, either side.

Since the newer vehicles have this system, my best answer to you is to go back to your dealer and have them fix it if under warranty. But it could be a simple fuse.

Bad wiring connections heat up due to high resistance, replace the bulb and socket and ensure all connections are tight, usually the earth wire that causes the problem.

Check any wiring leading to the part, replace sparkplug. There are few reasons that electric power to one plug would be any different than the others. Check for water hoses nearby. At one time, a clamp on a radiator hose would leak and allow water to short out the coil.

get the battery changed or checked or proper voltage..may be too low on cold start..should read 12.8 or higher..

You can tow your MKX behind your motor home. I've been doing it for years. Your owners manual tells you how to do it. You must tow it by all wheels up or all wheels down. You can not use a tow dolly. Make certain that you get a good tow bar system and have it installed. It took them a day to install mine. But I feel safe towing it. Have fun RVing.

I believe your battery is not the problem. But have it checked. The slow crank-over is due to the anti-theft feature in your car. When the car senses a theft attempt, it reduces cranking voltage to your starter to around 7 Volts.Some wiring is crossed that is telling the Brain that there is a theft attempt. There are only a few things which happen when you fill gas. The Emissions system is open due to the gas cap being off and the fuel sending unit is reporting to the fuel gauge.Possibly the fuel pressure regulator is feeling resistance due to the change in fuel volume.Again, get a free battery test at Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys. I have not seen a problem like this in several years of working for Fixya. The battery is probably not low, but restricted by the antitheft. Yours is probably a unique condition.
