Warming light says :park break cannot be engaged
take it to a dealer here something major has gone wrong and without my head under the bonnet i cannot say ,could be simple like a fuse or a the linkage has corroded or if in cold area then its frozen up with ice ?' Try disconnecting the battery leads and then join the leads together for a 5 mins and reconnect the battery and try again as this will reset everything

I just bought a used
I don't know that I would worry too much. When serviced, they may have left something unplugged. They may be able to take care of this in just a few minutes tomorrow morning. If it turns out to be something bigger, let me know. Beautiful cars!

Where is the ECT sensor
you will see it to the front upper portion of the engine near the coolant induction piping, and it has a grey female connector plug...just a rule of thumb,if this plug isnt snug or come lose the cluster display will show the engine overheating.

I cannot get my car back into P or R. I can get it
Hi This is likely the selector lever lock out malfunctioning. There is a electrical solenoid under the shifter that prevents it from moving out of P to any gear without pressing the Brake Pedal.
Check with dealer to make see if there is any warranty or goodwill repair they will do.
This is sometimes caused by fold spilling sticky liquid into the shifter area. If you think this might apply in this instance obtain some deionized or distilled water and spay down into the shifter and move the lever back and forth . Allow a few minutes for it to soak and try again.
You will do not harm if you follow my instruction to use distilled water. If it works, allow to dry for a while and them spay down with WD40 which is a water dispersant and will not harm the electrics.

AC BLOWER NOT BLOWING
The resistor that controls the blower motor. it is a small gadget that has a 2 or 3 wire plug . Replacing the resistor should fix your problem. It is on or near the blower motor. Under the dash. Not easy to remove . But it can be. Please give thumbs up if helped.

JAGUAR XJ8 GEARBOX ADJUSTMENT
There is an adjustment on the selector lever on the side of the gearbox (lhs) make this longer to give the gear lever more travel.There is also an adjustment on the gearbox selector sensor for the electronics system.

I am looking for instructions
YOU WILL NEED A 9/16 OPEN END WRENCH REMOVE THE VERY TOP OF ANTENNA THEN TURN ON IGN AND RADIO TO GET CABLE OUT ,THE ROUND PART NEEDS TO BE REUSED ON NEW ANT MAST NOW TURN OFF RADIO W IGN ON AND MAST SHOULD START FEEDING INTO ANTENNA TURN FEED CABLE UNTIL IT STARTS TO GET FED INTO MOTOR
