Hello, Did you have a specific engine code requiring replacement of the Cam Position Sensor? Did you recently replace the thermostat or run low on coolant or have some other cooling system work done? The temperature sensor can be bad, or simply have a loose wire connection. Check those. There can be air in the coolant system as well. Finally, the thermostat could be sticking and will need to be replaced. These issues have nothing to do with the Air Conditioner. However, the AC will not cool if the car is sitting still unless the condenser fans (electric) are running. Turn on the AC and check to ensure the cooling fans energize. Most of these items you can check yourself, however if not, then have your mechanic or a mechanically inclined family member or friend check them for you. Dome Light (switched circuit now working) Shorted it out

Why didn't you hook into the entertainment system (radio ) ? The one that turns on when the door opens is controlled by the BCM -body control module .You probably shorted out the transistor in side the BCM . These lamps may be manually turned on by placing the interior lamp switch in the ON position, or by opening a door. • The Dome Lamp • The Rear Compartment Courtesy Lamp • The Rear View Mirror Map Lights The inadvertent power control circuit of the BCM supplies battery positive voltage to the dome lamp and the map lamps. When any door is opened, the door jamb switch contacts close providing a door open input to the BCM. The BCM then provides a ground to the interior lamps. The interior lamps receive a ground at G401 or G403. If the driver inadvertently leaves any interior lamp on the BCM will turn it off after a 20 minute time-out. The courtesy lamps will normally turn off using the theater dimming feature. The BCM provides a pulse width modulated ground to the interior lamps for the theater dimming feature. The courtesy lamps will also turn off immediately if a door lock command is received with all the doors closed, or if the ignition switch is turned to the ON position. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dome Lamps Inoperative ematic Reference: Interior Lights Schematics DEFINITION: Only the dome lamp is inoperative. 1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle? In my 2007 Saturn Ion

Sounds like you have a loose wire, probably at the fuse panel for the AC fuse, but be prepared to trace the wiring if the bad connection isn't right at the fuse panel.
Replace the fuse, and see if that clears up the problem.
If it doesn't, measure the voltage on both sides of the fuse so that you can see which direction you have to trace the wiring.
if there's no voltage going into the fuse, start tracing between the ignition switch to the fuse panel.
If there's power to both sides of the fuse, start tracing the wire from the fuse to the AC unit and temperature gauge. Also investigate the temperature gauge itself, as the AC shutoff may be contained within it.
If there is voltage on only one side of the fuse, investigate the fuse itself and the socket in the fuse panel.

No electric power to left door Fuse and relay are good

Check the wire lume that runs from the body to the door inside a rubber bellow. the wires can break from constant moving and I'm not sure what vehicle you have, but this is a defect for a few vehicles out there the wire can be to short in some cases from cost saving manufacturing. It may be necessary to remove the door panel and remove the harness through the wire opening to be able to move the boot far enough to access the broken wire or even just to check it in some cases.
How I like to repair it, is to put a new wire through the entire pivot point and join it inside the door and body where the wire does not move constantly.

Hope this helps

Having shifting problems

something must be in the way blocking the shifter maybe inside the car something fell into the console or the console was moved or the linkage underneath is bent ? if you can go from 1-2 and have neutral there but can't go further in the shift pattern I suspect what I listed also there could be a broken bushing in the linkage get under it after safely jacking up and put it on stands and inspect all linkage parts for missing or bent parts also look under the console first it easier for an object that's stuck in there ? ( a pen maybe )

I have been told I need to replace the struts on

Struts and shocks stablize the car when driving. usually when they are bad if you hit a bump it will continue to bounce 5,6,7 times. also to check you can go to the suspected strut and bounce the car by pushing down on it do this several times and if the car keeps bouncing it is bad. it should only bounce once. and if stuts or shocks leak it would be wet on the cylinder where it came out

I have A 2007 Saturn Ion--The #4 cylinder is showing miss-fire & low pressure--could this be false reading--I'm getting same gas mileage & runs fine

A misfire could be a sign of a problem coming up. You might not notice anything major until the cylinder stops working all together. However, other that it sounding terrible, and a loss of power and some shaking effects, it's not terrible. In other words, if it happens, it's time to get it to a shop now, instead of later. Yet, it all depends on why it's misfiring. If there is coolant leaking into the engine cylinder, it's a much larger problem. I would suggest taking it to another shop for a second opinion. Sometimes it's just a simple fix.

Engine lite on--code 304--also reader says-- cylinder 4 misfire--multiple

misfires can be from the ignition circuit ( coil/s HT leads -plugs) and it can also be from injectors (low fuel pressure -faulty injectors - leaking injector washers --wiring to injectors).
