I am needing to add
ist , i would follow the advice from your owners manual, if you have one, if you don't , then look ont the oil cap, [ this is where the oil is poured into and see if there is information on it, [example ] 5w/30 or 5w/ 20, or what ever it says, then i would use what it calls for. if it does not say anything, then you should call your local dodge dealership and ask the question to the service dept.
Is there any way to reset oil change reminder
I know on the older 2004 model you could turn your key to the second position and press the odometer button twice, turn the key off, then press and hold button again and turn key back to previous position. The service indicator with time/distance will be shown after about 15-20 seconds it will default or reset and the new distance to change will be on the indicator. Hope this works for you and let me know if this method is still compatible if you would
Any way to set the door locks to not automatically
In most cars, the power door lock is handled by a computer, and it is extremely difficult, or impossible to reprogram it. Usually, there is just one or two cables that come out of the computer for locking and unlocking purposes. That means that you dont only lose the features you want, but also lose remote opening, manual opening of all doors from the inside as well as alarm sensing.

How do you remove the alternator from a Sprinter?
First thing to do is disconnect the battery and then slack the fan belt. You will find a 13mm nut and bolt at the top of the tensioner that must be loosen and then place a large screwdriver in that hole and press until you remove the long bolt and then release the pressure slow. Remember the way your belt goes because it may slip off, you might need to remove it from the pulley to get more slack. Next, go underneath the van and remove the bottom engine cover, there are two 10mm nuts and you will find the alternator. Remove the nuts with a star shaped socket and a small extension, remove bolts two and four and then remove the wiring at the rear of alternator.
My 2007 sprinter has difficulty turning over on
'Cranking' and 'turning over' is the same thing. You need to get some heat into the engine before it can fire ... you have answered your question ... Let it preheat several times then give it a go.
Alternatively, you could put a block warmer on your engine and have it warm when you come out in the morning. Expect to pay up to $300.00 for a good block heater for your Dodge Sprinter. Keep it plugged in over night ... you will start right up and have cabin heat as you drive down the driveway ... For economy, you may want to put a timer on the heater so it will come on just a couple hours before you want to start your day.
