One problem can be when changing batteries be careful not to push any buttons, this can cause problems or if the batteries have been dead for a while, looses its "frequency" the alarm in the car is not picking up the transmitter in the key.(key and alarm in car out of sync ) get the keys re-coded. depending on which bmw you have you can DIY ( google re-coding bmw 5.. keys) or go to bmw.

The reservoir is on the driver side just above the steering column near the firewall. It is in the same location in most vehicles.

The air conditioner may not work properly if your ambient temp is reading -40. The a/c control unit monitors ambient temp so that it does not operate at too low outside temps. I would recommend fixing the ambient temp sensor and rechecking your a/c operation.

Hi angel,I would recommend first starting with checking the fuse. The fuse for the wipers is located in the glove box. If the fuse checks out ok, I would recommend checking the wiper relay.You will need to remove the passenger microfilter cover under the hood. First remove the filter cover. Then release the tabs holding the delivery tube to the filter housing. The housing lifts up and rotates out out to the side. Under the housing you will find a white plastic cover being held in place with 4 allen bolts. Using a 5mm allen remove the bolts. Once removed, under the cover you will see several control units and fuses and relays. Look for the BROWN relay. That relay is for your wiper/washer system. They do fail after a while. When reassembling the cover. make sure it is seated correctly, if not water can enter the electronics and create problems down the road.

heres a little hint,, take it to an upholstery shop that does vehicles, if you take it to a car dealer with a service bay and or body shop, it will cost you twice as much, and many of them farm out the work anyway ,, and shop around price wise, with today's economy ,, many shops need the work, so they will come down in price,, if they have a set price, ask them for a better deal. I just had my headliner, and door panels done on a 66 mustang,, prices varied a bunch, so I went to a few different places, saw what they were working on, and chose one that was about in the middle price wise, but they did good work, and did the job in a day ,

If the second gear problem happened just as the ABS lamp came on.....Car is in Limp Mode.

ABS system has set likely a code about safety...ie" Brake system failure..... although 3rd gear is usual default.

You must scan for codes and remedy the fault/s.

well sounds like the acctuator for that door is bad since all other doors are working,
