Ford escape gear shift does nothing
They messd up the computr network while fixin. Hav a datastream run to show any incorrect values. Factorygear must b used. Dont seek a dealer
When to use overdrive
More simply put is when to NOT use overdrive - when pulling a trailer or climbing a long hill. The automatic transmission will shift into overdrive whenever the engine is under light loading and will save you fuel.
My 2007 ford escape sometimes get stuck in park
Look under the dash, on the brake pedal arm. There are one or two switches that activate brakes lights and shift unlock. Check for loose mounting nut or a missing rubber nubber. Look on the floor for something not usually found there. These switches are adjustable and it may be as simple as adjusting them. Have a helper look for brake lights on and shift lever unlocked while you push the switches with your finger. Remember to set the park brake first. Could just be a bad switch or loose connector.

Disconected the battery to do
you should always disconnect both batteries in a hybrid, also you need to unhook the pcm and dc converter. very good chance you could have fried the pcm, you can try having the keys reprogrammed and see if that works
2007 ford escape popping noise in front end when
You may want to raise the front wheels and check for loose wheel bearings by rocking the tire-excess rock the wheel bearing needs replaced. Also check the tie-rod ends-they should be stiff not easily moved. If they move easily replace the bad one. Also check the boots-two on each-on the CV joints-if they are torn or seeping grease you may want to have them checked.
Stop Safely Now warning, engine shuts down
Man i have this problem too! Your engines overheating. It says, High Motor Temperature too right? Its fucked up how it just stops no matter where you are. Hectic Downtown, Highways, Middle of Access roads. Just to name a few of my experiences this past week. I hate Ford for that.
You should check your coolant if you haven't had it changed. Check if the fans are running. Do you have a leak? Check the two coolant resevoirs under the hood on the bottom left. The front one is for the engine and radiator cooling, the back resevoir is for the Motor Electronics cooling. If there's fluid in there, try changin it with new coolant, 50/50 mix for both resevoirs. Don't use any Life extending additives. Make sure the fluid you get is **** yellow not orange. Once you've had that changed, and it still does it, could be a stuck thermostat.
Haven't fixed mine yet. Good luck with yours!
