It gives a yellow steering
Your car is probably low on power steering fluid. You should be able to find the appropriate fluid available at an auto parts store and they will likely show you how to fill it.

Why does the check engine light flash
When a check engine light flashes it is an indication of a serious emissions problem detected by the computer. It is advisable not to drive very long under these conditions because harm can come to the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors. Have the fault codes read to determine the nature of the problem. AutoZone will do it for free.
How do you replace the air filter on a 2008 Golf
1. Unplug the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
2. Undo the spring clips and pull out the turbo inlet connector. 3. Remove the two T-25 screws on the air snorkle as shown below. 4. Remove the engine cover by pulling up HARD where indicated by the green circles in the photo below. 5. DO NOT APPLY ANY FORCE where indicated by the red diamonds in the photo below. 6. If it's cold weather, make sure the engine is warm so that the rubber grommets warm up and are flexible enough to come off. Cold, brittle plastic and stiff grommets will lead to a broken airbox/cover even if you otherwise do everything correctly. 7. Pull up on the rear driver's corner (near the battery box) first, then the rear corner where the MAF sensor is, then the fronts.

If the mechanic forgot to plug something back in, take it back. Every mechanic I know would rectify a mistake like that for no additional charge, and with no waiting.

How do you remove the rADIO
First, remove the ashtray and gently pull the ashtray frame out of its clips. You should see three 8mm screws holding the bottom of the radio. Again with your fingers, gently remove the upper ac vent from its clips. Use your fingers for both operations. They pull straight out, but don't force too much. You will then find two screws holding the top of the unit. Remove them and the ac controls and radio will slide right out. the radio is held to the frame by 4 screws. Hope this helps..
