Garvin, It seems that the headlight wire is shorting intermittently with the power wire of the car. That is why when the ignition is on the wires short due to some bump or something. It does not have to be far off. Just close to the ignition switch. If you can locate it then wrap a tape around it and drive happily thereafter. Happy motoring.

If you call a Ford dealer parts or service dept. and give them the VIN number they can tell you pretty much everything you want to know about what you have. Often they only need the last eight digits but I usually have all 17 handy just in case. More and more you'll find that you need the last 8 digits of any VIN to order the correct parts for many vehicles as it contains much of the information needed to sort out all the various options the vehicle may have come with. put a socket wrench on the tensioner pulley and act like you are tightening it when you do that it will take tension off of the belt and then take it off and put the new one on in the same direction and repeat the process on the tensioner and you will be able to install it no issues

First thing to do is put the car in park and then set the parking brake. Next, release the drivers and passenger side handles (located at the top, above your head when you are sitting in the car, where the part of the top meets the windshield) Both handles are black and you simply pull the lever to release the hooks. After both hooks are released, push the button located near the speedometer (should be underneath the speedometer) on the dash and the top motor will engage and begain to retract the top. Hold the button untill the top disapears behing the back seat

where does the vehicle sit when this happens is it a residential area or near a radio station or someones garage or even there cb beam what im trying to say is there maybe some bleed over from something that puts out strong signal ive played around myself with my cb and had a kicker/booster that would come across peoples tv and through pa systems like hardees drive up they where not happy with me anyway you see what i am saying.

The aftermarket security alarm was shorting out. We just unhooked the alarm and that fixed the problem.

You are probably low on fluid.
Behind the rear seat is your motor/pump/reservoir combination.
With the top down, fill the reservoir to overflowing with ATF.
Cycle the system a few times and repeat.
Do this till the reservoir will take no more fluid.
Check the lines and cylinders for leaks. The fluid must be going somewhere.
If you replace any lines or cylinders, always do them in pairs.

you cant do it yourself because if iam not mistaken its a module ......ie the vehicle has no wires only a feed wire and a bus line which recieves a computer signal ,to activate the whatever.Hence its a dealer only job because as the door locks are inside the door this means that the software can be encrypted as its classed as security .

First, have the battery load tested (charge, put a 200 amp load on it and read voltage..(15-20 seconds only) .should not drop below 9.5 volts) After verifying that battery is good, put a volt meter across the battery terminals when installed. If cranking volts drops below 9.5 your starter is bad. Before testing anything on car, make sure all terminals and wire lead connections are clean and secure.

I do NOT believe that the timing chain needs to be replaced until the oil pressure-controlled tensioner is at its maximum runout. That can happen in a few thousand miles if you race the car - or can take 150,000 miles if you use it as a daily driver. The chain will whine loudly when it is no longer being held tight.
