If you must get it out , try a long flexible magnet. If u leave it ther it wont cause damage. Just install another one.

Usually the crank shaft position sensor is located on the top of the transmission bell housing, on the back side right next to the top of the motor. Do you have a trouble code?

follow exhaust pipes from the engine bay, the first muffler type box they enter is the catalytic convertor

just lift back seat and take sender unit out ,should still start on year old fuel though .

The only thing they have in common is the ignition switch.

I have an 08 Sebring and mine has been having the etc light come on and the car will stall..with little to no notice. It's at the dealer right now and they can't figure out what is causing this because the light doesn't stay on once you turn off the car and restart it. It's kind of relieving to me that someone else is having this problem. Hopefully Chrysler can figure out what the deal is with this!!

could be dirty throttle body plate, worn TPS(throttle position sensor), may need a tune-up, EGR problem if it has one.

If there is not a part fitted there or visible damage it is a welch plug leaking. These plugs are fitted after machining of the engine block is completed. Some times it starts leaking and need to be replaced. Not expensive but need reasonable good DIY capability to replace. Ask a mechanic to show how if unsure.

Low coolant lvl?

HAVE RADIATOR PRESSURE CHECK DONE at any good shop and it will reveal a head gasket leak or other radiator leak.

try the fuses or wire fuse links , the only other thing in the circuit is the wires broken or the light low switch is bad

I haven't done a Chrysler yet. But the last one I did( 05 GM) was $350 my cost. Found it at a junk yard for $75.
