Cant get the key to turn in the door lock
You may be trying with a valet key.
Valet keys usually can unlock the driver's side door and start the car, but can't unlock the trunk or the glove box. This key is normally used when someone else operates your vehicle, such as a valet parking attendant.

Audi tt 2008 yellow warring light on dash board
I suspect that your fuel system is faulty. Check for a clogged fuel filter, or if your fuel pump don't run at all, replace the "fuel pump relay". Sometimes your fuel pump will run, but be too weak to hold pressure, which will let your car idle somewhat, but be too weak to run the engine at speed or under load.

Convertible top not working
First thing to do is check the fuse panel for ANY blown fuses (it could be a different fuse than the fuse for the convertible top. If all looks good, check the switch that is activated when you engage the parking brake. More detail if it's neither of those issues please.

I need to remove a 2007 audi tt door mirror
Drive over 30 mph, then drive really close to a pole (on the side with the mirror you're removing) and knock the mirror on the pole. If it doesn't come off the first time, do a U-turn and repeat the process.

3rd time top has malfunctioned!
I have had my TT to Audi 12 times and have had to leave it for a week or two several time.
Thru an attorney I took a $ settlement after 7 repairs, I am very sorry I settled ... Audi should to a recall and extended warranty. I too have my warranty running out in October 2011 and only have 33,000 miles on the car ... not sure if I should keep; but with service record they don't even offer me much on trade in with this service record. I am now finding out this issue is not only my issue, my service department has issues with 3-4 Audi TT with the same issue.
I am going to call my attorney general and find out what can be done / reported and possible the better business bureau.
Just wanted to vent.
PS: Last time they replaced my system with the new 2011 system; no issue yet.

TT Roadster roof problems
I had problem with the flaps staying open, pilot error you have to have the engine running and it's fine wish the dealer told me that. The only problem I have is when the roof has been down for a while , when it's then closed there is a small bump that appears on the near side.Adrian in Somerset

The roof does not close how can i close it?
There should be a plastic key that came with the vehicle, that key can usually be found with the owners manuals, there is a pop off panel near the front of the sunroof on most models that can be taken off and that key used there to turn and lower or raise it, but its probably just a fuse and you should look in the owners manual for the location and proper fuse size for it

I need to buy a service book & owners manual
Dear Avid Book Reader.......Some of your local auto parts stores might have these on the back shelf hidden from outta sight and mind. My best bet would be to make a couple of cals to parts stores in your area and see who is carrying them....if ya have already done that....then make the dreaded phone call to the audi dealer and have them ship that little bible of gears out to your humble abode.....thanks for readin and I HOPE I HELPED!!!!!

When pushing the clutch pedal in or letting it out
This seems to be a common problem on both the new and the old TT (from looking at the forums, my MK1 did the same thing). You could be lucky and it could just be a build up of crud in the cylinder causing it to stick.
Alternatively the metal part where the slave cylinder connects to the pedal breaks, causing the pedal to stick to a gradually worsening degree until it finally sticks down (which is what happened to me on the motorway) and you wont be able to engage or disengage the clutch (if this does happen try pulling the pedal up with your foot an pumping it like crazy).
The cylinder is a reasonably simple job to replace but its incredibly awkward to get at and fiddly to do so it might take a few hours to do.
You should also be aware that it is possible that the master cylinder needs replacing, this is a pig of a job as it requires the transmission to be dropped out. I had all 3 done under warranty but prices would be an hour or so's labour for the first one, £200ish for the slave cylinder replacement, and £1000 for the master cylinder change.
I would be suprised if either cylinder has gone as its done so few miles but it is a known problem that has carried over from the MK 1.
