Your key goes into sleep mode when not in range of your car (which emits a frequency that searches for, and wakes, the key). If the key is within three feet of a fluorescent bulb or a cell phone charger (or a few other devices that emit a certain frequency), the key doesn't go to sleep and this causes the battery to deplete faster than normal. Try using a fresh energizer or duracell battery, it is possible that the NEW battery you placed into the remote was old stock and is near dead. you need to reset it.
try this ; key on , engine off , if you have trip meter button rapidly press it until odometer displays.
turn key off , press and hold trip meter at the same time put the key on , if you see the bar , wait till it finish reseting(10-15 sec).
if you have reset button do the same with reset button.

press the odometer reset button,hold it down, then turn on ignition,wait 10secs, it should reset.

we found out that the trunck was open for a couple days there with a light on inside, so the car battery must be dead. Thanks.

My 2007 Lexus IS250 is dead, hooked up a charger. Charger keeps shutting off. Triple checked the cables, + - correct, still shuts off charger?

by rotors i take it you mean the brake disks ?? if so then try a autofactor but be warned some makes are cheaper from the dealer than a motor factor simply because the motor factor gets them from the dealers to start with,remember of course that this is a toyota and they tend to copyright all the parts

Inside the glove box in dash you should see hard plastic door which opens to reveal the cartridge. Nice choice of car. ENJOY

it is located behind the glove box. the glove box has a compartment separator inside of it. you must pull up and out to remove it. the back of the glove box has a removable panel. remove it. the filter tray will have a cover over it with two snap clips or the fresh air circulator on the dash will have to be set to recirculate to open the cover for the filter.

Sounds like the alarm system locked out the starter. Try to disconnect the battery, let it sit for 5 mins or so, reconnect then start.

There is a business called Battery World and they have all types of batteries and if they don't have yours I'm sure they will either order it in ot point you in the right direction.
